    Am i the only one that thinks that Wrath of Gods should be LESS overpowerd in PvP? I mean, That **** wrecks your *** if you don't react fast enough, and for Tanks that could be a Problem...

    If it's not one thing it's another.
    Look into all the things people spam and learn to counter them.
    We can't rely on other people to develop skill, so we're just going to have to develop enough for all of them.

    I for one thing WoG isn't that bad if you don't spam the **** out of it. It can be dodged relatively easily if you get the timing right. It's certainly not nearly as irritating as fishing for back stabs and ganking.

    That was kinda the point, people Spam it. If they could make a delay for it. Like:
    Use Wrath Of Gods = Slow Recovery.

    If the Recovery was slow, it would be a ''Hit or die'' type of attack.
    Since it knocks the enemy back, the recovery would be when they were standing up again. If the enemy BLOCKS it, they would get a free attack.

    Back to ''Hit or die'' type. Im sure you understand where im getting at.

    They've already nerfed WoG once.
    It used to be much worse.
    And missing with WoG now can still be deadly.
    I've seen plenty of people backstabbed into oblivion because used that miracle to liberally.

    Nothing wrong with WoTG. Easily avoidable.

    It's like a fighting game when someone complains that one person was spamming an attack. One could argue that the spammer is horrible at the game, but maybe he is taking advantage of the other player's skill level in not knowing how to dodge the attack. If it works on that particular player....

    Sorry if it rubs off as mean. I'm just tired of people complaining over something that doesn't need nerfed, I have similar feelings when people say sorcery should be nerfed.

    People say sorcery should be nerfed?
    I thought it was known of the lesser PvP tactics in this game.
    I can't remember the last time a sorcerer even hit me with a spell, outside of a ganking situation. lol

    Magic can be easly dodged by just rolling left or right but WoG...for me...EEEEEEUUUGHHHHHHHHH...

    (Maybe just because i always wears Smoughs armor...)

    Yeah a lot of people say sorcery should be nerfed. I'm always getting hatemail on my mage because "Magic takes no skill and is OP"

    No, but I do think there should be a reasonable recharge time between casts, so as to prevent all the constant spamming.

    Theres a delay, but it deppends on what dexterity? they have. 40 (Max) = Spam king (has i call it) while anything under is slower.

    Less Dexterity = Slower Casting Rate
    More Dexterity = Faster Casting rate

    45 dex is max.
    and IIRC the dex only affects how quickly you cast the spell, the delay is the same. IE it´s easy to roll BS you, no matter what your dex is.

    The people that spam will always spam, no matter if they have to switch what they're spamming.
    If we start screaming for a nerf on everything that kills us, we won't have many game mechanics left.

    It's not like they can pull WoG out of thin air. Heres a clue, talisman, if they have 1 you should be ready for it. If they still get you it's your problem, not theirs.

    Use the DWGR, you got plenty of invincibility frames to roll through it.

    i find it rather strange that FROM dident think of a cooldown between spells :| would pretty much erase spamming of spells but still make them reasonably deadly and would take you more skill to use the spells effectively...

    From didn't implement a cooldown between spells because that would render them a little bit impractical against mobs in PvE.

    Once again, it shows that they focused on that aspect more than PvP. Not that I'm complaining.

    it wouldent make them 'impractical' it would add more to the game, drs is well known for its difficulty and a cooldown between spells would prevent people from taking short cuts when playing like killing bosses with spamming... i think it would also make the mage role more interesting both on pvp and pve by making the players that use magic have to think more and do more....

    Have not had that ridiculous ring on in many many months and I fast roll through Wrath all the time.

    I have no fear of WoG at all at this point.

    All it takes is some practice. Keep at it and you'll be backstabbing WoG spammers in no time. happy

    i never realy found wotg annoying but i think that the cristal spells are still too powerfull and as cristal cannons are bout 50% lag based i find them rather annoying...

    Wrath is like everything elso Original Poster, dangerous but only overwhelming untill you know how to deal with it.

    With all the pve, people get plenty of experience dealing with melee attack just playing the game, and the skill is transfered to pvp fairly easily.

    The same cannot be said for wrath of gods, so the learning curve is just steeper.

    I'm also against a cooldown. As is, spells have a limited number of uses. So to kill with them, the caster does need to out think his opponent or said caster will just miss until he/she is out of spells. If I missed with spells half as much as I do with melee attacks, I'd never win. Only die because I ran out of spells.

    I would hate if FROM made a cooldown mechanic, it is unneeded and would hurt pve. If someone spams learn to dodge and punish. As a fighting game player I don't see the problem with that one particular move and people complain about it too much.

    people complain as its a human thing to do also with spamming its more about luck and lag then the opponents skill to roll round... i also seen a growing number of people 'lag spamming' eg using spells like bs combined with lag...

    Roll bs. Poke from out of range. Vow of silence, crest, bk, and sk shields. dung pies, kick. There are numerous ways to punish, stop or prevent spamming. Spamming magic is no different than spamming melee, except the caster has a limit where the melee build need only stop for a second to resume spamming.
