I've never used the dark hand. Once you've got one do you have to be in the Darkwraith covenant to use it in PvE?

I think the Dark Hand is the key to making Dark Souls easy. I remember when it was much more difficult to get... I dunno if I like it this more or not. Getting like 40-50 free humanity a playthrough and then kindling the bonfires, after NG+, you can easily have kindled them all to 20.

If you are gonna suck Humanity from an NPC they have to be ''On the same floor'' has you, if they are standing a LITTLE bit higher then you. It will result has a simple punch.

If reah was there to get the rite of kindling and she has 19 humanity, wouldnt she have all that humanity for kindling bonfires? I think most of us are aware of the 'good' ending by now...
I wonder if there was some ritual sacrifice of 19 people before reah started her quest to Lordran and thats not even considering the humanity that her lackeys have, maybe that explains finding a mace, loyd's and red eyes near petrus in the start too... Dirty business them clerics, I can see where patches is coming from.
