I chose maybe two Renegade options that entire game. That was the first and the second involves a certain asian, ex-N7, murdering SoB. He also has a sword. Which matters for the option. Best part of he game for me.

Heh, screw Bioware hammy-fisted "moral choices". I went and redid the entirety of ME2 to make totally sure Legion and Tali wouldn't be making me choose between them in ME3. Guess what, the option didn't pop out.

I'm not playing a Bioware game again.

LOL, he is the poster child for a good friend of mine, so I really liked his character. I never played through with a female character (or tried with my male) and my gf has only played ME1, so which Male characters are romancable throughout the series?

Oh man I love this series. Even if Mass Effect 3 didn't live up to my expectations, it still is a great trilogy. I also used the same character through all three games so I had to live with some tough decisions. He was a renegade alignment, so I had to do a lot of....suspect things to get things done. I still wake up at night with what happened to Mordin. Also, Wrex at the Citadel. My guy was such a jerk. But all in the name of saving the galaxy. I like to think he was the Jack Bauer of outer space.

Okay did you:

1) Resolve their conversation in ME2 so that both were happy through paragon or renegade option?

2) Do the side missions in ME3 related to the Quarians and save the Admiral during one of them?

3) Choose the proper choices in that fateful conversation where you decide their fate in ME3?

It worked for me so I'm sure you simply just missed a tiny detail. Bioware isn't perfect but the decisions between games have never been an issue for me.

Well I chose Liara in ME1, Tali in ME2, and nobody in ME3 on my first playthrough though if I chose anybody it would be Liara. Ashley is dead so she isn't an option. Kaiden is way cooler in my opinion.

Also, I love how there is no middle ground on these crappy "romances". It's either hate them, don't care because they are not in your sexual orientation, or feth its brains out.

Also, once you get laid, the romance just stops going. Like, having sex is the highest point a relationship can achieve, and the most important thing to achieve too. God, I'm hating Bioware's writers more and more each day.

The railroading sometimes reminds me of Deus Ex Human Revolution. I love that game, but sometimes you just want to punch the Cutscene Stupidity out of Adam Jensen.

Understandable in regards to the hatred. I still say you probably just missed something in the Tali/Legion bit but I understand your frustration with Bioware. I enjoy their games but sometimes they can be a bit frustrating.

the Mass effect series is still better than most games Ive ever played.... almost all games have the same or equivalent plot holes....

The notable exceptions being-

Valkyria Chronicles, Tales of Symohonia, Tales of Symphonia Dawn of a New World, and a few others....

I found some of the characters to be a weak but the Alice and ... that other guy

and the Emil Marta thing to be kinda nice....

Richter let me down..... But it did follow up Tales rather accurately.

I guess I shouldn't have rewritten the heretics? I liked how they didn't know how to make that fit into the freaking game, and just went with a "oh, guess what it was the wrong choice".

I like that Mass Effect is "hard" science fiction - few videogames do that. I dislike the crappy romance options, the crappy romance dialogue, and the fact that they take their own plot way too seriously "Gotta save Earth, but let's do every single random thing I overhear!" considering the actual implementation.

That said, I consider ME3 to be the superior game mechanically.
