    After lurking for about 8 months and playing through DS about 40 times, I finally bothered to make an account here, hooray for me.

    The thing that inspired me to do so was the discovery of something that I haven't seen mentioned here yet.

    Actually I've been hit by some of the new sorceries while blocking with my Greatshield of Artorias, I think they do both or something. They are insanely fast and dangerous, trust me, without looking at exact details on that spell, I'm sure the new black spells will become viable in PvP, especially with less flipping going on.
