I raise the wooden shield and attempt to block the second soldier's spear attack. If it succeeds i'll quickly try to get a hit on the second soldier with my axe while he's still stunned.

Ialliman- looks like you are having fun!. Ill join in if i see an opportunity soon. I do think that we should use a hollow soldier shield and upgrade to soldier armour instead of warrior armour. mid rolling and tankiness seems to be the way to go.
the spear users will drap solider helm armour shield and waistcloth.
once rynn has replied i will submit a request for that gear update.
aditionally- we should try to buy the chain gloves off the undead merchant since we wont be able to get gloves untill killing balder knights ( full balder set will be good, now that i think about it, we can mix it with the steel set from the tower knight! and the gargoyle helm!)
for weapons i am thinking somthing fairly meaty- maybe a butcher knife, the halberd in the parish will be a good starting point, but i am not sure what qualities we want to look for in a weapon for imaginary dark souls.
Boss fights will likely be very strange- i personally don't expect them to be the same as usual- that taurus is gonna have a stack of firebombs or somthing like that, rynn will be trying to keep it interesting yet familiar.

^ agreed on most of it, however hollow soldier armor is barely better than hollow warrior armor. It's worse against lightning actually. But well we won't be encountering that any time soon.

I've seen nothing in the rules about poise, so it prolly doesn't do anything. That barely changes which armor you want though, as the amount of poise of an armor piece is often proportional to the defense. It does make the wolf ring useless.

Because the people before us were apparently not very bright 
This thread is the sequel to 2 previous ones in which the players picked up those 2 miracles but apparently didn't bother raising faith for it. I guess we can decide whether we wanna go into that or not.

yeah- kinda wish there was a stat reset thingy.... the stats are fairly horribly laid out...
just started a deprived challenge run becuase of this, i am raising all stats equally, i wount be able to get any stat higher than 16 or so without serious leveling
as for a direction for this build- it seems that specialisation won't be so important for this game- but i think faith is nice to have- and i think the halberd will be a great weapon for this we just need 2 more strength.

Block the next attack then attempt to use multiple light attacks in quick succession to break its guard. if guard is broken follow up with heavy attack and extra light attacks after the heavy until death.
if the warrior tries to attack with the spear again- interrupt with a kick.
can i give scenario's like this? thought it might make the combat smoother if you didn't have to check in for every action.

I examine the corpses of the 2 hollows soldiers and decide to replace my hollow warrior armor with their slightly better armor.
I also pick up one of the hollow soldier shields and toss away the damaged wooden shield.
