Pretty much, install Wine (a Windows Emulation Layer) and then the game. It will run just fine, as it is a simple engine. Some engines uses complex effects that rely on all sorts of nuances in the OS, and are hard to port. Another thing worth looking into is ONscripter, a free, multi-OS version of NScripter. Higuashi has 5 out of the 8 parts translated; I managed to get all 5 translated ones to work on a Linux operating system, and, I am confident that if you want to, you can too on your Mac.

I don't get how so many people love D.Gray-man. I should probably watch the anime and see why..

I wouldn't classify it as one of my "best ever" anime, but it was definitely interesting and worth watching. Now allow me to provide you with a link to aid in your attempt to watch it winking

I know where I can watch it lol, thing is I read the manga (it's still ongoing), and once you catch up with it, it's a complete mess. The story telling style doesn't suit a monthly (not memorable enough) and the action sequences were always drawn in a confusing style..

I dunno if these two would be eradicated by changing it into a weekly anime series though.. In 100 episodes does he even manage to develop the Sword version of his innocence? (presuming he even gets crown clown at some stage)

Meh it's finally making a bit more sense now, though it seems to be on break again at the moment... That or they couldn't be assed to scanulate it anymore.

To my knowledge someone higher up in charge of the series actually died, and the anime won't be getting any more episodes. I actually remember hearing it was the guy who actually wrote and drew it, which would explain why the manga might have a different feel after coming back off hiatus (I don't really read manga too much though) if someone else took over the story, though I don't know how Japanese culture treats that kind of thing. All I really know for sure though is that the series went on hiatus because of somebody's death. And to continue with this:

Serious_Much wrote:In 100 episodes does he even manage to develop the Sword version of his innocence? (presuming he even gets crown clown at some stage)

He does manage to get the Crown Clown. To the best of my memory, he has it for a good potion of the end of the anime, but I'm failing to recall how many changes he actually went through when he had it :|

EDIT: I should also add that "end of the anime" means how many episodes they produced. Due to the aforementioned hiatus the actual plot never got fully resolved so the anime has no "real end."

Im not super huge fan of shounen manga/anime. There are plenty of anime/manga that were in jump that i like, but the standard young male lead with super powers type theme isnt my favorite. Gintama is by far my favorite anime/manga that is considered a shounen. Its jokes while immature at times, often seem aimed at a more adult/young adult audience. When it has action(its mainly a comedy) it does it very well, something about the joke filled atmosphere just dropping and them getting serious makes the moments a lot more tense. Its extremely underrated in my opinion, but im sure everyone thinks that about some move/anime. Its really popular in japan for how unpopular it is other places. Its never been dubbed, but just recently sentai decided to dub the movie(which is a remake of a 3ep arc). I suggest everyone give it a shot, and if you only watch dubbed maybe check out the movie. It does start kinda slow, but i find most ongoing anime/manga are like that. I personally like how it starts, but lots of people stop watching pretty early on. It gets A LOT better around ep 80+, but i think before that is well worth watching.

Edit:It has a plot, but its random. The episodes are episodic, except for arcs which can last 2-5 episodes. It has a back story that isnt talked about much, but they have been trolling us with a movie trailer for a movie that apparently has to do with the mains past(which is where a lot of the mystery is)

I know what you mean about mangas price(at least in the U.S). I actually own about 35 volumes of manga, mostly bought used. The only manga i have the full collection of is Welcome to the NHK, cause its my favorite and only 8 volumes. I have almost every volume of Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei also. Thing is borders(the only place i could really buy manga, you could have used copys shipped to stores) went under where i am. Also Tokyo Pop stopped translating and importing manga to the U.S. I personally dont like reading manga online, it feels so much better having a copy in your hands. I wouldnt mind having a tablet for reading manga though..

    I would have to say...

    1. Nichijou
    2. Air Gear/Claymore (They're tied)
    3. Fairy Tail
    4. Kenichi the Mightiest Disciple
    5. Yu Yu Hakusho

Just to name a few. As for manga, I only really read Naruto, Rosario Vampire, Claymore, Fairy Tail, and Kenichi the Mightiest Disciple.

I would pay for a manga service like netflicks. As long as I don't have to deal with ads that play in the background and distract me.

I was thinking about someone mentioning Mushi-Shi earlier, and the anime Monster. Mushi-Shi was too passive for me, I just felt like there wasn't enough action. Monster, I watched an episode and really liked it. But I have a list of anime and I haven't gotten to it yet.

Jyu-Oh-Sei; Planet of the Beast King was a pretty good one I watched. It was short, but I wished that it went further. Although that anime was almost as bad as X in that people were dying left and right.

And I totally forgot to mention that I only own one anime series completely, and that is Ergo Proxy. I'm ashamed of myself for not mentioning it earlier. But it's easily tied for fifth place. Something about it just really hits home.

Oh, and I hear they are coming out with a new Sailor Moon. I used to watch that back on the old school Toonami when I was younger. I always kind of enjoyed the series, even if it was a bit over my head back then.

Ergo Proxy was a very good series, and had a lot of interesting ideas. However, I feel that it could have been better if they made it shorter; the ideas were a bit too stretched out. Not saying it wasn't nice, it is a classic! I'd suggest it to someone who wants to see some more mature themes explored in their media.
