Simbarda returned to the firelink shrine, contemplating his decision to join the Noble Knights of Lordran. He smiled at the thought of proving his skill and tact upon the battlefield again and this would provide somewhat of a distraction to the troubles in his mind... His head pulsates at the thought. Feeling tired after the day's events, rest was much needed as his legs buckled willingly upon the soft ground. Leaning against a pile of rubble in his favourite spot, his eyelids became the rubble he leant against and they shut solid. A short pause and he said to himself:
"Such an odd array of characters about and much chaos is to ensue. Hopefully I prove worthy of Oscar's judgement... Most of all, I need to prove to her that faith in me was not wrongly given. Time for a rest."
Always readily alert, but after saying that, he laid to rest for a while.

As Drake rode the lift up from New Londo his mind raced with thoughts of strategies and potential casualties. War was coming to his the Tombs and he had trouble thinking of anything else. The lift screached to a hault and Drake slowly stepped off to continue his journey home.
The cool night air was refreshing after being down in New Londo. Wulf spoke suddenly snapping Drake back to reality, "I've caught the Axehands of a stranger." Quietly Drake drew his Halbred from his back and slowly advances towards the firelink bonfire.
As they approached they saw a man, leaning back against a pile of debris resting. He made no movement as the group approached, Drake turned to Wulf and spoke in hushed tones "I'm going to have some fun with this one."
Drake pulled down his hood, exposing burned scarred flesh, and pulled some charcoal resin from his pouch. The rest was reinvigorating, almost as if said rest provided a wisp of healing air and stimulants to his muscles. As relaxing the rest was, his instincts and senses forced him from his subconscious state...
... He was not alone.
Without moving a muscle to alert the visitors of his wake, he analyzed the faint footsteps, the vibrations in his nearby space and the smell: char, very distinct in aroma and probably one factor of his waking, two sets of footsteps, one more prominent than the other indicating some sort of authority... But not his authority. These two were dangerous and he could be in a predicament, but he had a plan in place.
His next act was sudden and forceful: withdrawing an amulet that acted as a talisman from the sleeve of his gauntlet, he ushered powerful words that created a shockwave to knock back the pair. Of course he realised that the two wouldn't be sent flying, yet it should stumble them to give him time to get up and unsheath Andreia.
After doing so, he caught a good look at the visitors , who were quite frankly frightening in appearance and both morbid-looking aswell, one wielding what looked like a halberd on fire... Magic. Drake laughed as the man scrambled to his feet, and drew his weapon. While the scene hadn't played out exactly to his expectations, it was humorous none the less. "I am Drake," he called out to the stranger, "this is Wulf and up there," Drake pointed to the top of a pillar, "is Adrasteia. It may be hard to believe but my intent is not to kill you, I was just having a bit of fun." Drake shot the man a wicked grin, the white of his teeth contrasting with the blackened skin of his face.

Curious to his laughter and failing to understand his intent to kill Simbarda, he let out a heap of laughter himself, but did not relax his swordarm. He had eventually noticed the figure up above when Drake pointed it out to him. His tension did not ease, n'or his focus, as these were still strangers, yet... He decided to delight them for a while.
"To have fun... haha! Now THAT is a surprise. Even more of a suprise than you to think that I was not prepared for when you creeped up to me," I retorted.
I made a couple of swings to ease the stiffness of my recent nap and smiled at the 3 of them. Gently stabbing the tip of Andreia into the ground with my left hand, I raised my right hand in a fist across my chest and bowed generously to them.
"I am Simbarda... It's a... pleasure, of sorts, to make your aquaintance. Such predatory ways of having fun, but this is the nature of your being, is it not?"

the two moved off, Simbarda was left with the dark man who, for the most
part, is just cynical in terms of jest.
Pacing back to my favourite spot, I ask Drake:
"Ever heard of the saying 'Let sleeping men lie? Heh Heh heh."

bottles of a rich liquid... Thorolund wine to be exact, which I tossed
one to Drake and began taking swigs from my own. Being relaxed always
improved his reflexes and never did Simbarda suffer intoxication
as he knew his limits. Taking out a remaining breadroll, he took a bite
and offered food to the man across, but whether he took the offer or not
was his choice.

rest, would you? I could do with some company for a while," Simbarda
said.

'Well done Lethard" said Avrik. his voice echoing throughout the small tomb they had chosen as thier hideaway. "You have taken well to necromancy"
Before him shuffled the two corpses of the knights he had killed, now twisting and writhing in some macabre dance, Lethard was well back, his face pale and wan but the look in his eyes was unmistakable.
"This is it isn't it Avrik?" he muttered quietly, he was shivering now. "Its so cold here"
Avrik's smile slowly widened. "Yes it is. Now take this gift back to Oscar young knight, young healer, young whatever you claim to be. Tell him if he came to me begging and pleading I could even bring back his father"

Lethard looked shocked, the power over the two bodies failed and they collopsed. But Avrik took control quickly enough, they rose again, thier movements stronger, less twitchy.
"These two will escort you out. But don't be a stranger. Or perhaps you won't because if Oscar doesn't kill you for heresy the Ebon Hand will come for you and bring you back where you belong"

Fear muddled Lethard's mind. He could not allow this to get out. Thank the gods yje bastard did not know his real name or where he was truly from. Nevertheless this was dangerous for him, he had to play it safe. If only he could think straight. His words stammered out, none of the coherence he needed to form a proper defence. A clear thought made it thorugh the mass, keep playing the coward! It was his only chance, he wasnt a threat, they could ignore hime.
He nodded meekly to Avrik and allowed the corpses to lead him out. Once out of the tomb, unrestraineda and unwatched by the undead he smiled. Whateveer happened from here on out, he had it.

(I think at the moment, Sim doesn't know Drake's affiliation and Sim has plenty of skill to fight if it DID come to that, but you and Rayne could probably proc the RP for Fed since he's stuck, or for yourselves. It'll be fun to have you all join in.)

I'll respond in a minute. We have more to do if Drake doesn't know you're NK so this is better. Knowing he is NK would just lead to immediate conflict and that isn't always fun.

Rayne was quiet, he had been sitting in one of the crevices in firelink, napping after all that had happened. That was, until Drake and everyone else had come in. Sighing he sat back, watching the happening's between everyone. He was amazed that no one had noticed him sitting up alone, just a little higher than Adra.
the only noise heard from him was light breathing and the scratch of his swords scrapping against the wall behind him, Darkness surrounded him as he sat there, noting Wolf and Moon leave, and the man he had led to the catacombs appear a little ways away, seemingly ignorant of the happenings around him.
