I wasnt judging my apologies if I came across that way. just the mention of a 483 darkmooning reminded me of a similar one >.>
I would be judging if you had come in and told us all how many darkwraiths you beat hosting
but yeah the forest really is the best place. anor londo might be worth a try but I have no experience there.

Hosting or Invading in the forest, it's pretty much the only high traffic choice for such levels. Just get ready for some really dirty tactics.

Entered the forest, used a cracked red eyestone, invaded first try. Guy was a good player too. Sunlight buffed, but didn't even try to backstab.

I've actually found more duelists there recently, which sucks for me. Not because I like gankers exactly, but because I win more against them. I'm a terrible duelist haha.
