Online Play Slow/Not Functional

I seem to have immense trouble summoning other players into my game, I've been invaded probably twice my entire career through NG and NG+, and finding an online match in the arena system is practically impossible. I've tried opening up my router's NAT setting, but it doesn't seem to change much at all. Any advice? I use Comcast cable at 27 Mbps right now.

This problem has been appearing all over the place. I'm with you on this one, with a lot of the same symptoms, but with Century Link internet. We're just gonna have to sit tight and wait until FROM fixes it. If anyone does find a solution, hit me.

Likewise. It's beginning to bum me out on a major level.

Update: Enabled port forwarding on my router. Still no improvement. Need help! :C

This issue has nothing to do with router/network setting on your end.
Are other games running just fine online ? I thought so.

It was the same on PS3 in the first few weeks. It's still not as great as it should but is has improved over time. I think this also has to do with the fact that there just aren't that many people out there atm on pc. Pickings are slim.

I say, just give it some time for it to pick up.


For me, summoning people can be cumbersome at times, I do however, get invaded a whole lot. For example in Oolacile Township I can't be in human form for more than a minute without someone invading me.
I'l SL 100 with his character btw.

I'm a Sunbro so this really sucks. On top of a bad port I have to wait hours to get summoned.

Yeah its pretty well for everyone.

I have the same problem. I am not able to summon or be summoned. I can some signs and as soon as I touch them they dissappear or after a minute a message says it failed.
If i leave my sign down, it can take a lot of time to get summoned, and then if you were summoned, you get disconnected for no reasson.

I can say right now that the online features of the game are not working as it should.

I dont think its the ammount of players - im pretty sure there are more playing pc than console at this time. The problem is that the summoning/invading always fails... go to Darkroot forest as human and youll notice that the fog gate is closed almost 24/7 becouse everyone is TRYING to invade, but most fail.
But as you said, lets hope they fix it like they did with console

They need to fix the hackers first or all you will invade/get invaded by will be hackers and that will be worse then not being able to invade/get invaded
