How can i play online?

When i start up the game it says:

You cannot use online play because you are not connected to games for windows LIVE

I installed games for windows marketplace and running it while running the game still wont work.

Press Home once you start up the game to bring up the Games for Windows Live window. Sign in with your account ifyou have one.

Have you got an xbox controller? He means press home on that.

GFWL should pop up when you start the game.

No, I only got an Xbox wireless controller which wont connect with my laptop.


So yeh i use my keyboard.

The Home button on the keyboard is what I use.

If i press the home button thats near the ''end'' button nothing happends.

You should have an overlay like this. do you have windows 8?, i've read there's a few problem with it and GWFL.

Get a controller/adapter that works. the keyboard and mouse controls suck pinapples for donkey rags.

I'm not really sure about a fix, though.

There's a nice little dongle going around, i use it and it works perfectly with my 360 wireless pad.

I just bought this laptop with a few games and a mouse.


I sould be able to just use keyboard right??? Isnt it weird that i NEED a controller just to open games for windows...

The controller Iisn't needed to open GFWL. I use my keyboard to open it by pressing the home button since my controller adapter isn't in yet. Also, check Newegg if you wanna save a few bucks once you've saved enough money.

The only thing I'd recommend the controller for is PvP.

I dont want a controller okay...

Sorry for the thread taking a turn.  Do you have the Steam version or the standalone version?

My friend installed it on my new laptop. I think he did it with the GAME CD because i saw the game cover laying on my desk

Don't take offense to this but your mate might've installed a crack to bypass the gfwl or having the CD in. Check it out with him.

I mailed him. Can take a while for him to respond.

It's also possible he already used the product key if the game is originally his.
