Kick's not parryable and it's faster. I think it even uses less stamina too, so there's no reason you need the bash.

BSS is overused, using the Barbed's r2s to close gaps will screw with people's dodging.

its overused because its good and easy to use and that r2 is lethal with leo ring to the point of beign op because of the damn reach and lag. i personally love the lucerne with leo ring.

The barbed sword is just so pitifully weak though, even at 40/40 it hits for absolute ****, and good luck getting counter hits with a straight sword the length of the falchion without getting pounded into the floor by bigger weapon users.

no idea how the hell it happened, we both panicked and i pressed r1 just because. it didn't work. i just swung at him and he probably called me a **** on his end of the world.

Any weapon in dark souls is lethal. It just needs the right owner and practice!

Does the bleed out get boosted by Leo if you cause it with a counter with the BarbSS?
THAT would be interesting, Also the BSS has the trust EVERY straight sword ought to, seriously more would be popular if that one simple thing were changed. Also typing to many Bs and Ss for it reminds me of the good old days of the Blueblood sword.

Are you for real? I can't believe you just brought up the blueblood sword...ahhh demons souls that was my FAVOURITE weapon to use period!! I killed myself 10 or whatever times to get that 2-2 dark so I could get it...that black phantom was pretty tough on NG+ lol!!!
I had a battle mage and I would ENC it with the ENC spell...then use 'firestorm' or what ever it was called...FROM nerfed the cast speed on fire storm/tempest so bad its hardly worth using...wasn't the demon souls firestorm OP...it was quick as hell and could actually be used in a duel effectively!!
