Absolutely no point in naming your character, it'd be kind of cool if you can choose to view other players by either their character name or their PSN/Xbox live ID.

it's for your own personal enjoyment, as well as distinguishing more easily between your characters.. i think lol

Yeah there is a point. Character Creation and Development.
It takes me such a long time to name my characters.
All of them have names, storys, and back grounds!!!!!!!!!!!!

i think that the only point is to distinguish your builds
i dont take time chosing names, i have names like "c:" and ";3", but at least i know what build is what

My 9 year old son summed it up perfectly one day when he walked in as I was trying to name a new build...
"Just put a bunch of random letters like I do...nobody sees it anyway!"

Also you can see the character names when veiwing the character stats in the book of the guilty.

I put mine like "27STR40DEX SKS". Something to identify them.
What happens is that they grow beyond that sometimes but... my intent is to identify them!
