Need Help with Carim Sniper Build

Yeah So i like the Sniper Crossbow, and I like Carim.... so naturally I think I'd like to make a Carim Sniper Build to run in the Forest or in Anor Londo at around SL 80 or 55 respectively.

The whole point would be about stealth, Deception, and Critical Hits primarilty using the Sniper Crossbow and then another..... low stat requirement weapon like a Rapier, Shotel, or Painting Guardian Sword.

Now if any one could help suggest to me some tips for using crossbows and or the mechanics of the Sniper Crossbow I would be much obliged.

I was running with a similar sl 40 build in the depths earlier today using the sniper crossbow and a lightning bandits knife.


It works like any other crossbow really. So you can't actually snipe with it, but if timed right you can lay some pretty high damaging hits during an enemy's attack animation.


I'm not sure but if the arrows do thrust damage you may get more use out of the Leo ring than the hornet ring. Imagine. hahahaha.

I wouldn't worry about getting so much endurance on the characters. In fact you could probably run them at much lower sl if you want.

How so? Please tell me. Though the SL 55 one is for a specific user covenant on the forum.... and will be wear a very specific armour set with the DLC console release

My SL 55 build is pretty specific but if you can get the stats allocated better then by all means please do.

Sniper Crossbow is useless though, you can't lock on more than the standard lock on range and it fires slower than a regular crossbow. If you 2 hand it, you'll most likely score a headshot. Both of these need testing/confirmation.

HURRAH! Also how much damage are you doing with your shots Err?

Its a heavy crossbow using heavy bolts at +10 I belive. I average 140 damage I think on most players in med armor.

Cool Now I have to test a Magic Sniper Crossbow with Sniper Bolts!

Leo ring only effects physical damage, so you'd be best off using a sniper crossbow +15 with sniper bolts.
