Question about the Grant Empty Question about the Grant

Post by Derpwraith Sat Sep 15, 2012 5:46 am

I just got both my strength and faith to 50, fully upgraded the grant & right now it has an AR of 731, so it should be deadly. I have yet to try it on other players though, other than that, I have a question about it two handed strong attack (Its WoTG attack). I read on the wiki that it has more range, and a 100% chance of knocking opponents back even if they have high poise, it should also do more damage than WotG. Does this apply to other players? If so, then I'm going to have a pleasant time with this weapon even more.

I think it's stronger than a WoG but your chances of connecting that are very low.

With 50 str and 30 faith it can do around 800 to 1000 dependant know your opponents armor. It's definitely better than wog but you need to predict your opponents next move to actually connect.

Try and catch them out on a long move. For example if they thrust you with a greatsword; just sidestep and start your 2h r2!

You can hit R1 spammers too, easier to just parry them, but more rewarding to let them blow off so much stamina that they can't roll away from the GrantBomb.

And be careful of strafing back-stabbers who will ninja flip in your back.

The wotg attack of Grant does more damage I have tested it on players. It is much slower to activate than the spell as you probably have noticed.

The cool (and unfair) thing about Grant's special attack is that it actually wogs your opponent before they see the blast complete. It has that lagginess similar to the Crystal Soul Spear spell.

The split AR and slow swing speed will leave something to be desired when you actually pvp with it. It does poor damage per second in melee considering the very high stat requirement.

Occasionally a sunbro will catch my wraith with the special and it HURTS
