Strange hacking in Anor Londo,

So there I was, I had placed my summon sign in Anor Londo, trying to coop for O&S, and I get summoned...

As soon as I appear in the other world, I get to watch the cutscene of Smough dying. The host and another phantom, however, are waiting at the bonfire. We proceed with the level as normal, but upon entering the boss fog door, something was wrong: There was a Super Ornstein, and (I think) a mini Ornstein too. I say "I think" because I talked with the white phantom and he said he saw a mini Smough instead (maybe there were 3 bosses, Super Ornstein plus normal O&S). I couldn't see well because I alt-tabbed and tried to turn on Fraps to record it, but when I came back to the game I saw the host had died and that I was getting returned to my world.

Talking with the phantom also revealed the following (I will post this message here):

"Yeah, a guy called **** ***** invaded and Smough instantly died. I've encountered him before in Oolacile, he teleported me off the map and I died instantly. He loves to f**k with the game hardcore to prove some sort of point".

I googled the name of the hacker and I found several mentions of this supposed hacker, one of which tells of an episode where he invaded and dropped all the enemies of the map in front of the invadee (didn't someone in this forum also mention a similar episode?)

It seems the problem with hackers was worse than I thought....

Kinda fun to add difficultly, also kind of a **** move to some people who may struggle.

Oh damn it, I totally forgot about that rule that forbids the posting of usernames and whatever. Can a mod just change the name of the thread?

vac hack and insta-death hack hmmmm yea sounds possible, hell ive seen the vac hack on xbl so for sure it could happen on pc

Can you PM me the name of the guy in GFWL? I want to befriend him. I would love to fight waves of enemies, and he could help me in doing that. I just want to "hack" for offline fun, not for online PvP griefing.

I will, but I don't think he will be friendly enough to help you, as most of the stuff I found around the net shows him griefing players.

Offline or with friends who want this, its OK, but Invading Players who are not prepared for this - no words for peolpe like this. Too small....you know what.

Is there anything we can do against this player. Give his GFWL Name to MS and try to geht him banned (forever and every game in his GFWL, like Steam does - no tolerance policy)

GFWL is like a supervisor on the school yard. Unless they're watching directly, anything you bring to them gets shoved in the 'I don't give a crap' pile.

Reporting him will do nothing but provide the illusion that you have done your part to try and clear the trash from DS

Yeah this sounds like the same guy who invaded me. He spawned a bunch of enemies and dropped them on me lol. I've also messaged him about how he did it but he never responded. And yeah, I doubt reporting him to GFWL will do anything. It never seems to do anything.

This may not be the same person, but I got invaded once by a white, flying squid with the Dragon's Tooth. He was a white phantom who basically summoned himself (It was extremely weird). He basically ended up killing me in the S&O fight.

He was probably Invading you . Sometimes Phantoms apear as a different kind of Phantom (Red,Blue, White/Gold depending if youre a Sunbro) .

He used an Eye Ball but instead of apearing as a Darkwraith he becomes a White Phantom . Its quite common

How did he kill you ?

I know the name of the flying squid, I have met him in the Artorias area. He's a flying blaoted sorcerer head fused with Smough's Helm and two family masks.

He always drop his sign there. Didn't seem to be a griefer...

He just showed up, almost like an invasion. He spawned in the same place an invader would appear. And he hornet bs'd my friend using a dragon tooth.

I was scared when I saw that thing show up, no lie. It was floating around......

Yes, that's the one. Damn, it seems he has started griefing, then. When I met him he was helping a host do Kalameet (I was there as a gold phantom)

I was going to try and banish him with the Separation Crystal but then i took a Dragon Tooth to the back.

maybe it's a Vagrant or somthing like that...

An Apostle. It even has an human face as part of his demonic figure....I guess you have to hit that when you PvP him.

And as a white phantom he can kill the host. That's the only problem I have. I'd hate to have to worry about a white phantom killing me if I'm just looking for co-op :/

Actually, this effect can be duplicated.

It's a hack, but it's pretty much a douchemove. By making all of your gear have the 'itemx' as its physical model, it can make it so you have exactly what you see. 4 items on the head that are technically supposed to be the 'legs', 'chest', 'hands' of the character. It's a pretty silly thing to do, but at the same time, it means that someone could literally make their invader invisible with this same trick

I once saw a friendly hacker/exploiter who used this to make a Headless Horseman build.... black iron armor, no head, MSGS in one hand, Skull Lantern on the other.

Luckily, he wasn't hacking anything gameplay related, and was just dueling.
