I have seen other people say that bleeding still affects you even when blocking with the GS of artorias, but I can't test it really either right now..

Does that include dung, or is dung an area of effect? I was tossing dung at an artorias turtle last night, and I really couldn't tell whether I was just wasting time (and dung). He didn't get toxic'd but he was jumping around like he expected the dung to affect him.

no, it doesn't. you should try to use Ring of Evil Eye for negating swamp. simply kill mosquitoes with bow regularly and the only effect of poison is that annoying sound. hp bar will be full most of the time.

It's environmental. I don't think anything can completely block dat stuff, like lava, poison swamp, ect.
