I'm not sure if this is old news or what. But, use to be when you were blocking, you couldn't parry until you've released block. Now, you don't have to release block. You can press parry (without letting go of block) and you'll parry - then go back into the block animation.

Sometimes this game delays inputs when hitting too much at once. It could fail to parry then do it when you hit a different button. I've had it with rolling and attack inputs while holding block. The rolling one is quite dangerous given how many bottomless pits there are. It doesn't rival my kick attempts with rapiers and curved swords deaths by bottomless pit though .

Before, you could hold both the block and parry button together (but not parry). When you let go of the block (while still holding parry), you would parry. Now, it is different. You can hold block and press the parry button to parry. This prevents either: holding 2 buttons down at the same time, or, releasing the block button and then pressing parry.

and the parry is quite fast from a block, cause you dont have to raise the shield, its already up from blocking. That makes a very fast riposte which one can time better
