    Anyone into the castlevania series?

Do you like the old skool(platformer), new school(rpg), or both?

Do you like where they are taking this series?

Anyone ready for Mirror of Fate, and Lords of Shadow 2?

    What are your favorite(s)?

    Discuss.

I like both the new and the old. I'm fine with where they are taking the game. My personal favorites are Circle of the Moon, Portrait of Ruin, and Lords of Shadow.

My body is ready, for the two new games.

What about you guys and gals?

Lords of Shadow I believe is very under rated. Yes it stole a little bit from a lot of other games. Yes the DLC was a joke for the price you paid for it. But story wise I think they are going in the right direction and I can't wait for Lords of Shadow 2. The preview for it got me and my wife soooo excited for it, here is hoping they do right by everyone....

Started on Harmony of Dissonance, moved onto Aria of Sorrow, recently put 50 hours into Dawn of Sorrow, when I get a new laptop I'm going to emulate Symphony of the Night. Also have Harmony of Despair, it's dogsh*t.

I totally agree with the above. I wonder if you get to play as Alucard in Lords of Shadow 2.

From the preview it seems they are definitely setting something up of that nature. I was looking into the 3DS game, Mirror of Fate I think it is, that one looks pretty decent as well.

Yeah. It didn't look all that great to me, when I saw the gameplayvideo on PSN.

Which game do y'all think had the most extra stuff to do, as far as 100 percenting the game?

Out of the ones I played, I WOULD say Portrait of Ruin, but I'm going ot go with Lords of Shadow. Do to the length of the game.

    What about y'all?

Was it the leveling up, alot of extra stuff to do, or what?

I played the very beginning of it and beat the first boss, but that's it.

There were two sets of castles, collectible items you could use to furnish a living room and a alternate character mode.

Sorry Mr. Belmont. Dracula is in another castle.

Also. This is some good boss music, even the the last battle itself wasn't too difficult.

    Alright!

Try not to use the Crissagrim if you happen to get it. That weapon make the game a cake walk. Sort of the same for the Vapol Blade.

What is a man? I miserable pile of secrets!

Lords of shadow can not be as fantastic as the good old ones, but if you pay attention, it has an interesting plot.

I like how Gabriel Belmont fights the shadow lords and end up not only without his wife, but also becoming Dracula.

Now I'm interested in LoS 2 happy

Me and my wife were actually waiting for the C:LOS2 trailer from the VGAs! I'm excited and very curious to see how they execute this game as me and my wife really enjoyed the first ones story. Just a bit of speculation for you guys really quickly.... My wife is convinced that the white haired guy in the first trailer we see is not Alucard but Dracula. Let me explain. Dracula is based off of the Vlad the Impaler story, his father’s name was... Dracul. . Gabriel says over and over again that his name is Dracul... not Dracula. Meaning he is the forerunner of Dracula... and the white hair character we saw in the original trailer would be Dracula himself. . What do you guys think?

That's reasonable interesting thought. But I'm not sure what to think.

I'm just all excited for it to come out. I'll can wait till I play the game and find out myself.

Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver was a story focused game from the PS1-PS2 era. The voice acting was amazing. The gameplay was always kind of ehh passable. However, I hold it in high reguard as far as story and voice work go and C:LOS reminded me a lot of what Soul Reaver could have been =). If you want to see what Soul Reaver is all about go look up the Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver Intro on youtube and you'll see what I'm saying =) Also, Soul Reaver was under Amy Hennings watchful eye... shes known for Uncharted now =)
