Blackmail in Anor Londo?

I just have a question about this whole thing. Why can't the host just challenge the boss? I got invaded by a RED phantom this past weekend in Anor Londo and I just walked into the boss fight with my phantoms and whooped O&S. I believe that the Wiki says that you can only do that when invaded by darkmoons though...

Anyways why cant't the host just fight the boss like normal?

Dark AL, I think off the top of my head, is the only place you don't necessarily have to have a living boss in in order to be invaded. I'm almost positive you can have both bosses dead there and still get invaded by spirits of vengeance. In which case you wouldn't be able to just challenge the boss. You'd have to either suicide, disconnect from the internet, or wait the guy out. I generally opt for attrition in these situations. There's something about being more patient than the other guy that I find very satisfying

Master plan for these scenarios:
Step one: Equip Hornet Ring
Step two: Equip Dark Silver Tracer
Step three: Drop rubbish
Step four:????
Step Five: Profit.

He can definitely go through the fog gate but only if it's still there. I believe you can still get invaded after the bosses are dedz. But, tbh, there is a lot of unknowns in DkS and not everyone seeks all the answers out via forums like this.

Hell, here's an example from my experience:

I made that room before the O&S boss fight ridiculously hard on myself cuz I was under a few misconceptions. To invade Letrauc, I thought that I needed to: A) clear the room so enemies weren't in Letrauc's world, B) I had to be human to invade him, and C) I had to be online. I was invaded so many times in that room, we're talking several playthroughs. I also used to panic BIG time when I was getting invaded. If he got me before I cleared that room, I wouldn't have risked the run to the boss fog either.

He wouldn't have gotten anything from me cuz I probably would have exited to the dashboard because I wasn't aware there was the possibility of a corrupt save file either.

I wonder how many rejections the kid got. I hope he runs into some forum members.

LMAO!!!! I'd give him something just for originality. It's stupid... but funny. I can just imagine your reaction:

You: WTF? Are you serious?

I bet most of the people were like "wtf"? and just gave him the stuff they'll never use on their builds

I'd just take the easy route and start the boss fight then homeward bone it out.
