does your saved characters transfer across the prepare to die edition on disc or do you have to start from scratch.

Re: prepare to die on disc help
Hm? If your asking if you need to start a new character to play the Prepare to die edition, I belive you don't have too. Then again I'm on the PS3 and I didn't have to make a new character.

I see. I highly doubt you'll be forced to make a new character.

Re: prepare to die on disc help
No, having already brought the disc I can confirm that as far as the PS3 is concerned you WILL be required to start a new character, as the disc does not recognise any of your old saves, even though you will not be asked to re-install the game.
From what I can tell the new saves do not overwrite your old ones, and so you can still go back to them using the original disc, but you will not be able to use any of them with the new content/disc.

Re: prepare to die on disc help
You will have to start a new game. I brought the disc version and had to start fresh.
The old version saves on my PS3 as 'Dark Souls Savegame (UK)' whereas the Prepare to Die Edition
saves 'Dark Souls Savegame (EU)'
Hope this helps!
