On a related note I once tried to eat a habanero straight. The heat was fine but I need to work on the hiccup reflex. I couldn't actually swallow it but chewed on it for a minute or so trying. I did best the cinnamon challenge so yay me!

Ugh, my mother left a lovely message on my answerphone which consisted of about 10 minutes of hate and stating she was going to disown me. the bit that is bothering me is that I just dont care anymore ...

What prompted that?

Well, we dont have the best relationship and she is a type one bipolar. most recently the problem was I had a problem with her actions towards my grandmother and aunt, told her so and she attacked me. since then she has been hostile towards me including phoning up other members of my family and leaving fairly hostile messages about me.
If you meant what prompted me to post it I dont know entirely I'm just feeling a little bit odd with the situation now...

She does, normally anyway. It helps to a degree but it does not solve it by any stretch of the imagination (since she often decides to stop taking it...) Ugh.

Yeah that's a big issue with bipolar people if they have it bad enough. Does she live with you or anyone that can make sure she is taking them?

I no longer live with her and I think she is going back into hospital imminently, (which is a whole different can of worms. my dad phoned her support team after he got 4 consecutive calls from her and her consultant told my mum that he told them to take her in . :| )
she has a partner who helps to a degree with reminding her about it but actually standing up to her if she decided not to take it? I doubt that somehow.
