Mr. Tarts excellent photo's got me to wanting to post some of my own, but anybody can post their own photos and stories to go with them here, if you like.

Here's a few of mine from my "favorites" album. I have more than a thousand, and about two hundred that I consider to be "good". I don't know anything about photography, but I have had the opportunity to spend a lot of time in beautiful places!

Ive actually been considering that myself. Once you go there you'll never want to leave. Everything is so amazingly profoundly beautiful it's like a dream. Of course I've never been there in winter though. Which despite the obvious heavy snow also includes several months with hardly any daylight at all. Not sure how Id adjust to that on a permanent basis. I'll upload some photos

Alaska is awesome. I've been throughout most of the mountain ranges in western Europe, but there is something alluring about the photos of Alaska. Everything is just so much bigger and spread out, I feel like I am looking at a prehistoric world. I'd love to spend the rest of my life just exploring the wilderness there.
