What bow would you guys recommend for a str/faith build? should i just go with darkmoon? or should i make an elemntal composite?

High faith? Definitely DM bow + DM arrows. You can still start off with poison arrows, and then switch after poison takes effect.

is 30 faith high enough to make the bow effective? i've capped it at 30 so i could use slb

Should do fine, unless you have 40 str, you can try the composite bow. Don't make bows elemental, ever. I tried it, and it sucks against +14, even with matching arrows.
