Research about small hammers

Here is some tests rant and me did with the small hammers. All tests were done while 2 handing the hammers and having 40 poise:

Club, Pickaxe, Warpick and Vamos' Hammer can't break 40 poise.

Mace and Morning Star break 52 poise. They also can stunlock up to 2 hits, while able to dodge out after the third one.

Reinforced Club, Andre's and Giant's Hammer break 52 poise. They can infinite stunlock, I wasn't able to dodge out safely.

If you ever want to make a small hammer build, consider this!

Btw Butcher's Knife can't stunlock anymore. :x

My favorite weapon on my tank, the Butcher Knife was nerfed!!! But i was still able to stunlock some guys for 3 hits though. Could it be that they had low poise?

and we forgot the warpick lol. damn i guess mace for duels and reinforced club for invader/invasions and ganks.

I did the tests with 40 poise. I dodge out safely after the first hit got me. We did it 2 times. :/

Weird, perhaps the ones i fought were just slow to react. =/
Did the Mace and Morning Star break poise while 2 handed or 1 handed?

Respect the Reinforced Club; many have fallen before it. On top of great AR and infinite stunlock, it has bleed.

I agree.
Until I tried SL1 run I awlays frowned upon th Reinforced Club and other weapons like that, but then I learned to respect them and love Reinforced Club. That thing hits like a truck and can stunlock to death even some bosses.

So, 52 poise is still a cutoff, even if the greatswords can't stunlock. I wonder if we'll see more mace users (especially with Rant's constant promoting of them).

Wait, how was the Butcher's knife nerfed? It still seems to break 52 poise, and does at least 3 stunlock hits. Its AR is still the same as well.

wel halberds are horrible at stunlocking exceppt for the reg halberd. and yes i think they all break 31 poise two haded but the second attack is so slow and has less range it kinda sucks. we should test the small axes too, i wanna know if i should make a build around them.

I'm pretty sure the Pickaxe can do a solid stunlock like the Mace, not sure about poise breaking though. I even think the Pickaxe can make an infinite stunlock. This is a video of mine, check out 3:21, I hit the guy 3 hits caused by a stunlock:

im pretty sure he had no poise but it was weird that he couldnt get out of the stunlock. was that pc or ps3?

PC. He is a friend, we fought lots of times, and he couldn't escape the stunlock of that weapon. But as I said, I can't confirm it lasts more than 3 hits because he always died at 3 hits.

Don't forget that being able to escape from a stunlock also depends from the distance you're being hit from. Like Ultra greatswords. Ultragreatswords cause stunlock, but if you're hit with the tip (not extremely far, with the very tip, which sometimes causes no damage but just staggers), you have enough time to dodge. So the best way to test weapons' stunlock capability, is to always attack while being the closest possible to the opponent. In that video I showed, I was the closest possible.

That's odd. When I dueled Billy post-patch I could get 3-4 hits on him 2h and he was trying to escape.

I can also guarantee that the BK still stunlocks. I just tested it myself yesterday with my tank and it stunlocked quite well too.
