Anywhere that has internet will have bronies. They're just hard to find outside of the internet because alot of them aren't too open about it in public still (myself included, though once I get my own place here in a few months I'll probably buy my first Fluttershy/Princess Celestia figure )

And the Wii did the exact same thing for video games, and I think gaming is all the better for it
Going off of the quote, the only people doing criticism are the ones that were scared that "dumbing down" and childishness would make literature less of an artistic form than it is. Making your medium appeal to a wide range of people doesn't hurt it, it helps it, and I think we can all classify the Narnia series he created as one of the biggest classic series of literature

I wasn't referring to his children's literature

He literally wrote philosophy books that were pretty much worthless as the arguments lost all substance when dumbed down to suit the majority of people.

Im not knocking the Narnia series, i loved it as a kid

Seems a bit unfair though to take one instance a homosexually oriented person being a brony and extrapolating it onto the rest of the community though

Basically he's watching the Family Guy universe's equivalent to something like Mr. Rogers, and Brian calls him out for liking it, to which is only response is "HEY...shut up." Guess doing this kind of ruins the point though, huh? :|

My early childhood was all about Barney and Winnie the Pooh, with a bit of Teletubbies and Veggietales in the mix

Later on I matured to the point of Power Rangers, Dexter's Laboratory, and Dragon Ball Z. And now here I am today, watching My Little Pony

I actually watched all sorts of shows when I was kid heck I enjoyed the nickelodeon show as told by ginger. Which I realize now it was kinda wrong since ginger was well a red head.

I dunno, but I'd like to see more people than myself being vocal about being bronies. I could start putting up some of the more in-joke-ish memes and have people get them lol. Even this most recent one is kinda in-joke-ish since it needs a minor understanding of an episode's plot point to really get in full :|
