co-op SL calculator ?

Is there such a thing ??

I know its a sill question but when I am reading posts etc 1/2 the time ICBF doing the math around whether or not I can summon someone or vice a versa when an SL is posted.

Is there a quick widget or similar that exists on a page where you can simply input your SL and click go and it will generate a SL range answer for you ?

Umm... That's the Demon's Souls calculator, not the Dark Souls calculator.

Generally if you're within 10 levels of each other you're good to go, with an added range the higher level the both of you are. It got easier after the 1.05 patch and people think the added range is now another 15% of your sl, although I'm not sure anyone's figured out the specific formula.

Being in the same or sympathetic covenants also definitely helps. At one point I was trying to coop with my brother when I was a dwraith and he was a sunbro. Almost impossible to find each other's signs, and when we did the sign would vanish almost instantly. I switched to sunbro and problem solved.

Typically the rule is 10 + the first digit of your level up to 100...

So if you are level 20 its 10 + 2 = 12 levels within eachother..
70 is 10 + 7 = 17 levels within eachother. etc. I've never had much trouble connecting with people going under that rule. Just be pateint, 'cause sometimes it can take a while for their sign to reach your server. I think that the spell "seek guidance" helps, but I am not 100% positive.

Your formula it's the one I think it's the true one, but it's not first digit, it's 10%.

Yeah, I just say the first digit because I wasnt sure if this person was having trouble with the math of 10% of his level. Once you go past 100 the first digit rules ends. It's just an easy way to think of it for me.

are you saying that this calculator is irrelevant to dark souls as the calculations between the 2 games is different? or just pointing out that it is demon souls related yet still works with dark souls ???

I think the calculations for Dark Souls was the same as Demon's Souls before the 1.05 patch.

After the patch there was a discussion about the soul range increasing, but I don't know what the new formula is.
