In the nexus I see bloodstains, while I know some are just people suiciding to get back to soul form. Some of the bloodstains have animations of people getting backstabbed and fighting& dieing. Mostly on ground floor. One such stain was at the statue you spawn at when using the Nexial binding return method. Guy got backstabbed while standing in front of it. Question is,,, at some point can the nexus be invaded? If not , are these stains just people dieing to the NPC's in the nexus?

Possibly just careless people? Not necessarily stupid.

Crestfallen bro? The blue phantom, right? He disappeared at a certain point in one of my games. Never thought about fighting him. Hmmmm

Re: Bloodstains in the nexus
For a NEW player...accidentally hitting a npc in the nexus is bound to happen. Maybe they nexial binded or used a stone to warp away, and the upon respawn the npc was there and...i don't know.
Ive seen the same bloodstain, a backstabbed person standing RIGHT INFRONT of the warppoint for the nexus. I was very confused by that one. I am seeing alot of stains in the nexus to. It saddens me. Being human is the best way to play.
I've seen a few bloodstain lately, that for the life of me i can't find the persons dying. I'll touch it, wait...look around. And see nothing happening. I'll look around plenty to. But nothing. Whats up with that?

Re: Bloodstains in the nexus
It's not newbies but an age old tradition of suiciding in the nexus in human form so if you die in a level your level tendency won't be affected when you're going for pure white.

Seen those too. Unsure what is up with the missing replay of the death. Maybe it's got something to do with this... Ever die by falling. But your stain is not where you landed and died but where you fell from. Or you die inside the archway fighting the axe wielding Miranda but when you return your stain is outside on the planks.

Re: Bloodstains in the nexus
Your stains is NEVER where you died...its always delayed, i believe it was found to be by about 10 seconds back. But someone elses blood stain, that we are supposed to be able to view...i'm not sure where that timer is. If it was a falling death, we would see it. Go visit the nexus, plenty, i say PLENTY of those. You see the red phantom running and falling.
These, missing bloodstains may be related to delayed deaths from the point, but when you select one the body always appears AT THE STAIN, and proceeds from there. So we should always be able to see the dying seconds...its a good theory, but still doesn't really work.
I have no better idea...maybe...server failure, or potentially the person who died pulled the plug/dashborded in an attempt to restart at a save sooner, trying to beat the autosave that happens when you die. But thats my best guess.
