Discoveries you only made recently.

I swear every time I fight the four kings, some new ******** pops up.

This time I fired off 4 great fireballs and while every one of them hit, they just bounced back off the king and did no damage.

So what? apparently they can deflect attacks too?

God I need to take a break

Edit: inb4 " oh you missed " No, I threw the fireball and it veered off in a completely different direction.

The 4 Kings do end up pulling some new BS out of their arses every time I fight them. Once I dropped into the abyss, it let off that undodgeable crap, staggered me (I had enough poise to stop a jet) and then followed up with a blade swing. So I tried running, and another spawned and then I had TWO of those rap balls chasing me. I just went balls to the wall, power within and GMW, wrecked them UP.

Well after god knows how many tries I killed them. Just ended up using green herbs and two handing my beautiful BKGA +5. Now to go after gwyn and then on to NG+5!

And both of those (presumably legendary) Pokemon are shaped like a Y .

Also i wonder what they do next . They had Pokemons that represent the Elements, Nature itself and God...They kind of written themselves in a corner .

On-Topic: There are many combos you can pull off in PvP while dual wielding that you normally can't with only one weapon - ie low poise characters will sometimes get into an infinite stunlock from alternating right-hand and left-hand swings if dual wielding katanas.

Yeah im actually testing that effect with my new dex char. I will post my impressions.

Actually the first few times I fought her, including once immediately after the stunlock nerf. I killed her entirely by shooing her in the chest with a bow. I just ran past, got on the stairs, turned around and spammed. Always keep obscenely excessive amounts of arrows with you, since you never know when you might need them .

Also I learned recently that people are much more understanding of glass cannon sunbros than I originaly thought they would be. Dealing a ton of damage with one spell and proceeding to get one shotted hasn't gotten me any hate mail yet, at least.

This isn't something I discovered recently, but here's some advice for you kids:

I just found out, that if you're in Blighttowns swamp, Halberds running R1 is done instantly, no animation, delay, anything. Once you press R1, the weapon already hit something. Fastest attack I have ever saw.

That's not 100% accurate. You can do that, but it happens because of lag, not because of the armor. When you get backstabbed for 0 damage it means your opponent saw in his screen he was in position to backstab you but you didn't in your own screen (because of lag), so the game generates the backstab animation but assigns zero damage. This doesn't happen always but most of the time. Eventually you will get the warping standard backstab.

How's that possible? It's not a projectile, it's like trying to deflect WoG.

I confirmed that kirk's gauntlets do boost claw damage by ~ 20 on an R1 slash (and more on a bs/riposte). Better still, the double roll R1 attack combined with thorn damage from wearing the gauntlets means you can literally just roll in circles around no poise DM spammers and keep them in a cycle of endless low damage stunlock. I had someone disconnect after I did this to them for over 5 minutes.
