Bought the AOTB after Prepare to die edition

II have bought the Atorias of the Abyss edition through the PS store and I have installed it but nothing changes in my game. My Dark Souls is a Prepare to Die edition. Are the compatible?

And also, the file I downloaded for the Atorias of the Abyss edition is only 100k big. Is this normal?

What you downloaded is an unlock file. You downloaded the DLC already in a patch which allowed you see and interact with people who had the DLC. What you need to do is this:

1. Kill the Hydra in Darkroot Basin.
2. Go to the cave on the left side of the lake there.
3. Quit and load to make a special golem appear.
4. Talk to Dusk which triggers her summon sign to appear near a rock at the lake
5. Go to the Duke's Archives and after the first elevator, you'll see a blue crystal golem. Kill it to get a broken pendant.
6. Return to the cave and you shall see a black fog there. Approach and you'll get sucked into the DLC

Sorry man but i believe you have wasted your money as Prepare to die Edition is a Full game WITH the Expansion Artorias of The Abyss (Its the version i play) you did not need to buy the expansion.......

Prepare to Die edition is PC only. After downloading the unlock file, the main menu screen changes to say "Prepare to Die".

I bought the Prepare to Die edition on the PS3, it's the Dark Souls edition that includes the DLC content unlocked.

From wouldn't do that to us Besides, when they announced PtD and AotA they specifically stated that PtD would be released for the consoles with DLC available.

I must have missed that announcement

Actually it was somewhat retorical, because there is no way to know. A mod or admin might know, but I don't really care who it was . I was just shocked that it happened.

Down voting him is like kicking a man while he's down, or hitting a lvl 1 character with a chaos weapon.

So I have wasted my money since the prepare to die edition already includes AOTA.

I have saved Dusk but where's and what's the Duke's archives?

Place the lordvessel, warp to the Anor Londo bonfire with the firekeeper.
From the bonfire, go up the stairs and turn left.
Enter the hall with the Giants, exit on the right side and follow the path all the way forward until you reach a structure with 2 armored boars.
That is the Duke's Archives...
