Character Creator rage

I got ganked, chain bsed, spammed, got 1 GB of hatemail, lagged, glitched, trolled, but none of it, made me rage as much as the fu...rry character creator! :x

Aesthetics are more important to me than function, so I want my characters to look pretty not only by gear, but by face as well.
Nothing special, I'm just playing Sims with DkS. It was always good and peachy, but this time, DkS decided to troll me.

I was making my new guy for 10 minutes. Finally satisfied with his ugly mug I wanted to start the game, but as I quit the customization part, the character suddenly turned asian. His skin got yellow and eyes almost closed.

I returned to the customization screen and he looked normal in there. I tried to adjust the eyes and skin colour.

He had banana colour and eyes of an anime girl who just met a tentacle monster.



I hit Initialize and returned. It was still the same.
...
So I tried to recreate the previous face. Another 10, or so minutes of work.

Returned and my eyes saw something, closely resembling a giant, yellow duckface.



"What the f...ridge is this?! This isn't your self shot for Facebook! Tarkus will never date you butt ugly Queen Brahne face!"

I gave up, quit and went to sleep.

This morning, I decided to quicly create the guy and go to work, so that I can use him asap as I return. I got some big plans for him.

I will try it once again when I get home from work, but if the game will still do this I swear to Gwyn that I will start wearing a and be done with it.

Perhaps that discusting face will benefit me in PvP. When my opponets sight will land upon some of the creations the game created I bet they would either start :Baal01: , or , giving me a chance to bs them, or something.

At least using all these pics and emoticons fixed my mood a bit.

WTF!!!!! The thing I hate about the goddamn creator is the beard and the bias to white color skin. I hate it when I want to make a nice tanned girl and when it's done you see her with no tan at all.

Ha ha, thank you for brightening up my day. I know what you mean. I like my characters to look attractive too even though I play hollowed most of the time. (go figure). When I made my first I didn't even know you could do all the customisation stuff but it turned out better than my second attempt which for some reason had ratty purple hair. It's the same for a lot of games. The first time I saw 'me' in Morrowind I thought it was something I had to kill. My Oblivion character was an absolute stunner even though she had red eyes and blue skin (I've always played as a Dark Elf in the Elder Scrolls) but try as I might my Skyrim Dark Elf looked like she'd swallowed a bucket of lemons, so even though I was a fair way in I made a new character and started again. Who was it said 'vanity, vanity, all is vanity'?

Bethesda games are even worse than thise, because the character looks totally different in creator from the character you play as in the game.

I wanted them to have a gentle smile, don't wanna have a frown when we kill someone, right? I edited the mouth and lips. Purrrfect :3
Then I edited chin and jawm just a little, because the original was already pretty good. But then I noticed that she isn't smiling, but has a serious Kristen Stewart look instead.
"Oh no biggie, I'll just move the expression bar back to happy."
Bar was at the max happy as it could, yet the character was :| .
WHAT THE HELL?! :x

I really needed a good laugh, thanks bro, but I feel your pain, because a long time ago I finaly made a character I was happy with, just to go back to that select class screen or whatever its called to have it resetted....that really really REALLY frustated me...so yeah, it sucks.

I love my characters. I spend at least 30-90 minutes customizing my characters. There have been some times where I accidentally slip my finger and go back to the default or change one parameter and everything gets FUBAR... :x

It's all worth it in the end though. I refuse to wear head gear that covers my character's face or changes her hair. Or ugly armour. I guess it puts me at a disadvantage when it comes to PvP, but...

One time, I thought that the character is a bit too tanned, so I moved the skin colour one point to pale and suddenly the area around it's eyes, nose and mouth got completely white, while the rest of the skin went candy red.
I was like: "ARE YOU FRIGGIN' KITTEN ME?!"

I was wearing Gargoyle Helmet most of my DkS time, just for the sake of 54 Poise and I hated it. I've spent good 20 minutes creating the face and end up wearing a bucket on my head (no offence Solaire and Tarkus).
Just a few weeks ago, I found out even better armor combination that gives me the same Poise without wearing anything on my beautifull face.
And now...all the rushed, post car accident ugly builds had to be remade, because I couldn't stand them.

Who cares about advantages in PvP.
I got two female caster who sport a full Lord's Blade, except for the head, because I love the looks of Ciaran's armor set and they can't use Wolf Ring, so they got only like 17, or so Poise.

i've had this exact issue when making cyclops's or massive billed bird men, the damn creator thing resets it to something close to its median settings, so i have to go and alter everything again, until i've confused the thing into thinking my settings are the closest to default. it takes at least an hour per toon...

That moment when you finally create the perfect character... and then pick the wrong starting class

Miyazaki said he refuses to make a character editor that will generate a character more handsome than he.

I am speculating this may be why there is a new director.

Sometimes when I try to create some kind of an abomination I get a fairly normal face instead when I return to the class select menu

I have noticed skin colour is impossible to properly set. I can't make a black person on dark souls, it's impossible. I tried it all and then it kept rejigging it and now I have what I refer to as 'Hollywood good guy black' (basically nearly white), with some rather creepy stained lips.

Also, according to the preset functions, people from Catarina are black. But when someone tried the helmet removal thing, Siegmeyer came out as some old white dude. Whut?

Yeah, I've found that weird as well, helmet removal shows Siegmeyer as white while the preset Jubilant Catarina is what one could remotely call a comical black person.
