I think I just lost a character.

My level 271 to be specific. I loaded itup and got to the entrance of blighttown, slid down the ladder at which point I fell through the floor and never actually died mind you. The game just kept saving constantly all the while I was falling and eventually I had to quit the game. Just tried loading it back up and the loading screens were up there for much longer than normal.

Going to try again soon, but this worries me. Anything like this ever happen to you guys?

No, thankfully. Might just be a hiccup though. Try again later, I say.

My best advice would be to just quit the game and reload. If that doesn't work I don't think there is anything you can do.

Can you do anything else or is it some freaky freefall? You could try using homeward bone.

I tried to do other stuff but it wouldn't let me. I just menu'd and quit

My game was stuck loading the other day after a ganker disconnected on me, I quit the game through the menu and everything was fine. Still, those were the 5 minutes moments of my life. Hope everything works out for you.
