Event Plans!

Battle Royal: Between people dressing up as in game characters. And have a mass invasion somewhere with some kind of role play story? like have good character in the game against evil ones or have the player who picked the character pick his side! and have a sign up sheet for everyone to pick one character each! so we get a diversion of characters??? call it the battle for lordran! Have a lord team, and a Humanity team? or i could make it a mortal combat event with player match ups! i have a web site to generate tournament brackets like a really tourney. so vote maybe you can take your favorite character and defend there honor and prove they are the best in the game!!



King of the Hill: Have one person host and have them summon people with the red stone in multiple arenas, and pit the two summoned against each other. and have the winner be the king of the hill and people would try and de-throne him to prove their the best. and keep track of the winning streaks of each. and at the end of the even post the leaderboard for longest kill streak. longest time champ. and post the final 2 on xbox and ps3 at the end of the event!

Also i was thinking about a bounty/ assassination/ hide and seek. where certain players would have a point value on there head and they would have 2-4 areas they can hide. goal of event to find and eliminate the player with the bounty. while he moves to different areas and trys and evades his pursuers!

Just a couple ideas i had! You can pick one or all!

By the way if i get a lot of vote it would be nice to have some people offer some help towards the planning! Also anyone else who may have a good idea or any idea feel free to suggest it and an explanation of it and i'll add it to the poll! Simple Plans... Imo not really worthy of a forum wide event....

Both would take a lot of people?? i know there simple because that's just me brain storming some ideas. actually since I've thought of them I've pretty much decided exactly how the events will unfold. i just haven't wasted my time making an event page because I want to make sure i got the better of the 2 ideas. If dark souls was a traditional role playing game i would pick the battle royal to host. But dark souls has many other aspects that set it apart. So i have know idea what the community would prefer a role playing experience or a tourney like idea for straight duels and leader boards. Or both for that matter. i can and will polish my ideas when the verdict is passed on the idea people want. If i have to I'll mold the whole idea my self and create it by my self the only thing i want this to accomplish is to announce my 2 ideas in a simple manner that everyone can understand complexity, rules, location, lore, and forum page will come later i just ask for a little faith because with the participation of the community i could create a fun, memorable event the i believe everyone will remember.

PS- personalty i like role playing so if no one vote i will make the battle royal!

Well how about all three! XD I wanted the tournament to be like a battle of the builds! Together it would be pretty cool! But I wanted a role play fer sure and have tourney and we could have a third as well! A mixture of both!

Come one people how does a competition undecided as of now between all your favorite characters or enemy's in the game not sound fun to fight as your favorite person in the game!

i Added a little more to my lore idea, to try and convey what i mean buy this event!

Battle Royal sounds cool, but instead of boring NPCs cosplays, have them cosplay as bosses/enemies that represent their covenants. For example your covenant could cosplay as a bunch of bloated heads/darkwraiths/ghosts with Manus as the covenant leader. The Chaos Legion cosplays as demons with Demon Firesage as leader. Mass invasion in an area (Township) and like 6 hour FC duels.

wyrm!!! 2v2s event!!!! we could do wars like that, after the even is over tally the wins and whoever got more wins the war. its easy to set up andno more points bs. anyone down for this?... anyone?........ bueller?

2s are fun, however they require that 4 people can be online at the same time on the same console. Set up war events are kind of difficult because of different timezones, consoles and online time availability. Mass invasions work because you can log on at your time and participate, even if you can't make it to the FC. But if enough people can make it to the FC then yeah 2s would be awesome. In the pasts wars usually 1 side invades and the other hosts (GLs). Meeting up with people from the other covenant at random was fun as hell.

crap, didnt think about time zones. i guess if the legion ends up doing a war we are gonna host, gravelording is so fun and demon's ruins hasnt been as busy which makes running into out enemies easier.

If you want to GL host you'll have to get everyone onto NG+ Rant. That could really annoy people.

It's only if they want black phantoms. You can see GL signs at NG.

King of the hill would be fun, but I think you'd need to divide up skill levels cus no offence to some of the guys but the amount of play time they dedicate means that really they would just monopolise the whole thing. :|

If you had 3 tiers for the guys who play loads, then guys who are good, but above average at best, then the minnows. Just so it's more fun for everyone and one single person doesn't just play constantly.

On that note i'd add a promotion/relegation system for consecutive wins/losses

i like your ideas, but if you want a good 2 on 2 event the exiled gurilla warfare event is good! and open to everyone. i wanted a new kind of idea!

we could do the 3 tire system for the king of the hill have each tier have a diffrent location based on skill and play time.

and for the lore battle have the tire system based on which character in the game have the best builds you can make, like if some one role plays as solar he would have a big advantage over some one doing dusk of gough! so i would put a system based on the in game character build complexity and strength to give them varying amount of points, such as solar and lufric would be worth like 10-20 points while dusk would be worth like 1 or 2. and iron turkes and Havel would be like 5-8 based on single weapon and slowness

its not like guerrilla warfare since its a straight up 2v2 which would actually be a pain in the *** to set up since everyone's in different timezones and i didnt think about that but it would be so cool if we could actually do it. the way i woulld do it is have be be a 24 hour event so that everyone can participate no matter where you are.

oh of course! i will spear no expense!
