Riddle Competition

O.o y didnt i think of that?

Did anyone get Rynn's riddle btw?

Fiery flares drop everywhere
Like rounded pools filled with despair
Yet shields worn by ashen knights
receive only a short reprieve

Gathers Dust in an old tomb
Sought for treasures never took
twixt between it's always there
and with it's flare it spreads despair

Weakened force we crash we fall
In crystals, chaos, or faithful Gall
we look upon the flare once more
and in a flash it then will fall.


My guess is that it's the Souls needed for the Lordvessel. The first reference suggests it's the Bed of Chaos - bombing you with fireballs. The shields and weapons of the Black Knights have added defence against fire and do more damage to chaos demons, so they'd help against her.

The second is Nito - gathering the Dust of 'Ashes to Ashes, Dust to Dust' - gathering the dead. He also lives in a tomb, and uses his Lordflame powers to spread despair and misery with the Gravelord covenant.

The third is the way the mighty fell - Seath fell to his crystal obssession, the Witch to her experiment with Chaos, and Nito to 'faithful Gall' - good old fashioned spite and cruelty. The next time you see the fire is in Gwyn - and when you slay him, the fire is gone for good.

Anyways, I'm tired, so yeah.

All 3 verses are describing the same thing in Rynn's riddle to those posting 3 answers

Yeah, I answered Souls needed for Lordvessel. Sorry, probably should've separated that part from the rest - I was describing how I came to that conclusion.

Doesn't really make much sense now that I re-read it mind. I guess being awake for 16 hours after 4 hours of sleep doesn't help the brain...

I know it's kinda silly of me to say this after I stole the riddle of Zeph, but shouldn't we be doin one at a time?

I didn't think Blue Tearstone made any kind of noticeable difference lol

If you keep this up for much longer, and your answer makes any sense at all, there might be a thread petitioning on behalf of a dedicated "up-vote thread" in your honor, on top of a "Zeph is now Leader Thread" wrecking havoc on the forum....
