I vote yes, but only if they were balanced with the rest of the in-game gear.

Amulets in Dark Souls 2?
Poll
Do you want Dark Souls 2 to have amulets in addition to rings, like in many other RPGs?

Assuming that Amulets function exactly like rings, which gives you a 3rd slot, I'm all for it.

I prefer From just turns the ring slots into two jewelry slots, thus including necklaces, earrings and so on.

I really think wearing ten rings is going to get in the way of properly handling a weapon, especially if you or I are/am wearing plate armor. I think two slots is enough.

Re: Amulets in Dark Souls 2?
^lol ya true. But I could stand 3 or 4 lol. Depends on the weapon. I could at least wear a necklace, or like you said some earings<---cool idea. I woulda like to have seen a couple more stat alerting items thats for sure.

Re: Amulets in Dark Souls 2?
You are only allowed two rings because the long forgotten.... DnD? rule was that only the Ring Finger could handle the magic contained within the rings, and since you only have two of those.... Two magic rings per person
Personally, if Amulets/necklaces come into it, I would prefer them to be more customization options rather than buffs. Say, less stamina but more stamina regen, or similar.

Wow thats beautiful. I would now like for only 2 rings to be avaiable and whatever slarg and arcarnatia say.

So...thats where it comes from...interesting....oh yes! the topic, im all for it, more slots for goodies is much welcome, but they should really have more variety regarding buffs and whatnot, because i felt that both DS and DkS had little of it, wich made only a handful few rings any decent while others were clearly OP

Re: Amulets in Dark Souls 2?
I said no, as the initial post does imply them to be in addition.
I think if it were to work, they would have to change one ring slot to amulet slot (that's not good in my opinion as you can't combo what you want)
I think if they did add amulets, like people have said changing the ring slots to general jewellery slots would be good.. though 2 amulets doesn't really work...

This idea screams for another pendant. I'm all for it, though.

Re: Amulets in Dark Souls 2?
I say yes if they nerf the variations in rest of the equipment. Balancing 2 rings and an amulet and all of the armor is just too much to ask.
I'd rather armor be mostly for poise and aesthetics. If poise:defense:weight ratios were the same across the board, then heck yes. Bring on the amulets.

Make amulets craftable items. They could have a range of interesting though ultimately minor effects.Slarg232 wrote:Personally, if Amulets/necklaces come into it, I would prefer them to be more customization options rather than buffs. Say, less stamina but more stamina regen, or similar.

Re: Amulets in Dark Souls 2?
Like say, +2 HP per second on the STRONGEST health regen amulet you can make?

Re: Amulets in Dark Souls 2?
Yup. Something that increases stamina by %5, or slightly increases jumping range/height, or grants a slight bleed effect to your weapon (6% not 30%) things like that.Slarg232 wrote:Like say, +2 HP per second on the STRONGEST health regen amulet you can make?
Something where people would have to experiment with combinations to find effects. Things that probably won't be what decide a battle but can give you a mini-boost to spice things up.

Re: Amulets in Dark Souls 2?
Only if the amulets do not have the same effects as any of the rings. Lets admit it. We can't wear 2 of the same ring because 2 havel rings or 2 cloranthy rings would be OP.
