Re: Metal Gear Rising
While i really enjoyed the demo, i'm still wondering if it's enough to get me to buy it. The reason i usually don't get games like MGR is because of the fact that it's usually too linear, and based on the demo, there seems to be a very forced path, except for some "exploring", if you could even call it that. Just not enough for me though.
I'll wait for the game to be released and get some reviews and gameplays before i actually consider getting it.

Re: Metal Gear Rising
So... I'm a pretty big Metal Gear fan, and I've been waiting for this game since its original announcement. Since playing the first Metal Gear Solid on PS1, there was always something I dreamed of... that was playing as the cybernetic ninja, Frank Jaeger. I was nervous for this game when I saw it change studios but I've got to say... This game is awesome... reviews I've read, while mostly positive, have been complaining about the games length, lack of explanations to game controls and story... to which I say... WOW I can't believe these people get paid to review games...
While not perfect, the camera needs work and some enemy's test your patience (I'M LOOKING AT YOU HELICOPTORS) this game is a love letter to Metal Gear fans and third person hack and slash fans. This game is worth playing through multiple times; it begs and entices you to get better at its combat system. I think the block button being attached to the light attack button fits the game perfectly. Why? It's the style of the game play… it wants you to not be scared of the enemies and it wants you to get in their faces and rip them to pieces. The only thing holding you back is your skill with the controls that the devs have put into place. I've played through the game almost twice now and I can see myself playing this game for months to come, very similarly to Dark Souls =)
I'll tell you if I feel the same after I tackle the Harder modes but so far, my complaints are few and far between.
