sunlight spear

did the sunlight spear get a dmg increase during the last patch or smt?
fought a guy a few min ago, and his sunlight spear 1shot me when i had full hp, while i had my shield up. and my hp is 1786, i cant remember the damn spear to be that good.
he didnt use PW while we fought either...

I tend not to question the damage of sorceries/miracles. It's just easier

yea, but i was in no position to take cover, and i didnt think about rolling through it atm :p
but still i feel it did way more dmg than i remember. =P

Was the person using all of the magic boosters as that may have caused it.
Also, what shield were you using as that may help me determine if it had a damage boost.
I have a 50 strength build from before the patch and that did around 700 damage per sunlight build with the darkmoon talisman and no boosts.

no idea what ring or talisman he used, was no PW or crown of dusk, i had the gargoyle shield while blocking . perhaps a glitch/bug made it so my shield didnt block the attack perhaps?

My guess is that is has either had a giant damage boost or he was hacking to increase its damage because unless he has some giant boost there is no way he should have been able to get that damage.

Ahem...but seriously. I have also noted an increase in the power of the Sunlight Spear, but only on enemy MOBS, I have yet to manage a hit on an actual player, or a player with their shield up.

This is a long shot...but were you standing in water?

maybe i suck, but from what i could remember the spear didnt do much dmg, so i didnt think blocking it would be a problem :p

Don't forget about lag. More than once I've blocked or rolled through a crystal soul spear, unblocked to run at the guy, and then die a couple seconds later.

I actually just one shot a guy in sens a few days ago on the first bridge. Was the first time I hit anyone with it but on the bridge it was hard to miss.

I can't remember the DMG but it was a great lightning spear with 40 fth firstborn ring and crown.

I wasn't trying to cheese anyone I was setup like that to kill the lizards quickly.

Was surprised because I never one shot anyone
