best weapon

Favorite: lightning claymore +5. What can I say, I'm a traditionalist. Plus the roll and sprint attacks are sweet, including the underrated backflip/forward sweep attack that often surprises pursuers.

Runnerup: Great scythe +15

Honorable mention: Balder side sword (usually lightning +5)



I usually avoid katanas due to a moral objection to how OP they always are in japanese games, but I love the Iaito R2 charge attack for one reason: you can change direction with it after you start the windup. Ha ha ha surprise

so far my fave and "best" weapon is the demon great machete, there are other weapons that arent as good but still a lot of fun to use like the DGH, MSGS, GRANT, and CA. theyrea all good for str or faith builds.

the best weapon in the game is the envirement .... but seriously, there has been about 100 posts on what the best weapon in the game is. the universal answer is, there is no best weapon, just favorite weapons. my favorite weapon is the moonlight great sword +5. I LOVE it!

assuming you are, actually,being sarcastic, punctuation and phrasing are very important for accurately conveying it in writing. the reader can't hear your tone so you have to actually type in the pauses and exaggerations. i've seen you say that a few times so i figured i'd try and help. you come across as a troll when you do it wrong.

please do, all i see are dex builds in here, you might wanna try the demon great machete, msgs, DGH, large and great clubs. my STR/fai build i have right now has 46 str and 30 faith.

Yeah I can't lie, I like dex weapons but got inspired after fighting Reim in the FC, also I think
one cannot stay hindered to only one thing, that's why many do different builds, should be fun
trying out new things.

i have a str/faith but he doesn't see much action. i just have issues with the attack speed (or rather the lack of). and without 'hyper armor' its fairly easy to interrupt the attacks (DSS comes to mind) or just trade, if my buffs active i'll happily eat a greathammer swing to land 2 or 3 hits for 1200 damage. I miss my blessed gaxe. the lack of hyper armor is almost a deal breaker. the characters not finished so i won't giv up on him yet but i'm not hopeful either :I

if you dont want a lot of str just leave at 27 and two hand whatever you want, with 27 im pretty sure you can two hand the demon great machete, with dmb+3 i do over a thousand damage per hit. the only reason i have 46 str is because i wanted to be able to one hand the DGH which is a lot of fun, +15zwei is really good too. ive actually tried all kinds of builds and my least fave was my dex build, i find them boring and a little over powered since you can wear whatever heavy armor you want because the weapons are so light but thats just me.

Grrr all these posts have given me so many ideas for builds and now the og I started for Fai/Dex is serious questioning whether or not he should bulk up and get them big swords.

tricky subject. smaller weapons effectiveness is largely ruined when the buff wears off but their nuts while its active + you have the armor to tank a few hits where big weapons kill in 1-3 hit seither way and have range but both poise and defences suffer. i've been seeing a lot of light armor/ gargoyel halberd/ casters recently though. that range is tough to deal with.

After playing with a bunch of weapons, I'm going to vote Great Club for PvP. A blue GC reminds me so much of a purple GAxe from DeS. The roll 2H R1 is brutal. Especially if you unlock and manually aim it.

I thought about that, I mostly use weapons 2 handed
and I normally don't use shields but parry knife,so
I will consider that.
