All Time Favourite Game

I wanted to start this topic since I've always had a fascination with other peoples favourite game.

Personally mine has always been a tie between Star Ocean:The Second Story, and Legend of Dragoon. Star Ocean may take it since I had two playthroughs on it and I had two different groups of allies and some different cutscenes. Plus the half active battle and traditional JRPG style battle mechanics. Legend of Dragoon just had some really fun mechanics with the additions. So instead of just sitting there and mashing 'X' to attack you instead have to learn these combos to do the most damage.

These are mine I am wondering what other peoples are, and please don't hate just because people don't love the game that you do. Since most people I talk to have never heard of my favourite.

both games you mentioned are two of my favorite too, loved star ocean two the best though, not sure if you know but the first one was rereleased on psp iirc, might wanna check it out since it's really good too. mine has to be metal gear solid on ps1, that game was perfect, gameplay and specially the story, the song at the end gives me goosebumps every time i hear it.

BF 2142, for me Titan mode still is hands down the best multiplayer mode in FPS's, plus i was pretty good at the game.

Great game rant, it's in my top 3 of all time.

1st place goes to 'war of the lance' a turned based, strategy war game set in the dragon lance world. It's a very old pc game and I still have a copy of the game that I still love to play.

2nd place, mgs on ps1

3rd place, Arkon. A old battle chess game where you had to duel to take the piece(no guarantee of taking the piece like in chess)

Castle Crashers.
It's a kiddy game, but the best game I have played in my life nonetheless.
It's graphics seem pretty cartoony at first, but then you see all the blood around, and some of the more *grotesque* aspects of the game. It has multiplayer and A LOT of different things to choose from.

Finished insane mode yet? My son has a lvl 86 red knight, I have a lvl74 orange. It's a very fun game but.... Fat princess is better :p

Dark Souls is honestly my favorite game.

I'd have to say Okami.
The story is just so interesting and yet sort of complicated. All the characters are lovable in their own way; and none of them look alike.(Waka is the most interesting to me.)
I love all the humor that's in it too. Especially Issun's sense of humor; always hitting on women even though he is a Ponacle the size of a normal beetle.
Even though it's a short game compared to Skyrim, it's still worth the play. I highly recommend it.

Draken: The Ancients Gates. It's on PS2.

It has cool weapons, sexy armor, magic, and some cool boss fights. You can also ride a dragon!

I also like the repair system, because it's imposible to make a weapon as good as new again.

Let's say you have a weapon with a max durability of 300. You use the weapon a lot and break it. You take it to the blacksmith, and he repairs it. However, it now has a maximum durability of 290. You repair it again and it has a maximum duribility of 280.

The charges on enchanted weapons work the same way.

Let's say you have an enchanted weapon, and it's special power has a maximum of 10 uses. You use it a lot, and now it's out of power. You take it to an alchemist, and he recharges it. Now it's special power has a maximum of 9 uses. You recharge it again, and it has a maximum of 8 uses.

-Chrono Trigger.
-Rome Total War.
-MediEvil.
-Red Orchestra.
-Deus Ex.

Mine would be Super Metroid.
At the time (between 1994 and 1998), I finished the game at least one time/day, chalenging myself in speed runs and discovering new tricks everyday.
This game has actually some things in common with Dark Souls :
- A huge semi open world where you can sequence break some parts.
- A rich gameplay requiering skills to master.
- A realy dark atmosphere.
- Minimalistic apparent storyline, almost 100% action based.

I still enjoy playing it on my SNES from times to times.
I'd recommand this game to any true lover of video games. (But yeah, that doesn't count since it's my favorite)
