Question about online

Im watching my brother on his PS3 play Dark Souls and see that he can't summon anyone nor can he even interact with someones red summon sign. At the same time I have had this happen to me several times too. Even when we quit and reload the game we still have no luck with the signs.

Has this ever happen to anyone, and if so can you share what you did to fix the issue.

Either sounds like shoddy connection to be honest, I've never really had this problem but if you ain't getting signs then your connection must be faltering..

We see the signs and we see the ghosts of other players, and messages. But we just can't seem to use the summon signs. He just turned off his PS3 and back on and we still have no luck. Only thing I can guess now is to reset our router..... but im on Netflix right now so thats not an option right now >.>

umm did you just find your problem...?

I'm not sure about them being seen and not able to be used.. I have had it where you cannot use your soapstones if the fog wall from attempted invasion clears without visiting a bonfire, so perhaps that?

Don't think I've had that happen, constant failed summons but never a situation where I can't interact with them at all. If resetting your router and PS3 doesn't work then you might need to add certain PS3 ports to your router, you'll have to google that because I have not touched mine since I added them. Anyways I had severe trouble interacting with people on CoD until I added those ports, it might be the same case for Dark Souls.

We reset the wireless modem and still no luck, but then I turned off Netflix on my PS3 and then he was able to start playing online successfully. Thats some BS though -___-

I don't know how well this will work, as it's mostly superstition, but putting down your white sign for 5 seconds then picking it up seems to affect the network and bring you closer to others. It make take several tries, but you have to remember it's p2p and crap happens :/
