What bosses you expect in DkSII
I for one thoroughly expect to see a return of the maneaters/gargoyles since that seems to be something that the devs like. I also expect another pinwheel/fools idle. I certainly want another fight like S&O because, while it was quite difficult, I do enjoy using it as a test of skill, since they require much more awareness of your surroundings and enemy movements than other bosses and are simultaneously among my favorite and least favorite bosses.

I want another humanoid boss like Artorias or Gwyn, only much faster and our size.
I expect another Iron Golem/Tower Knight type boss, though.

Re: What bosses you expect in DkSII
Well we know about the Silver Chariot guy who I'm assuming is a boss judging by his size.
Then in the new trailer we have that split second where we see a demon's face who is probably a boss again I'm assuming.
As for returning types of boss fights, I'd like to see something like Ornstein and Smough again. An Old Monk type boss would be nice.

Re: What bosses you expect in DkSII
I really hope that they go all out with the sequel. I want to see bosses that I never would have been able to concieve of before.
Dark Souls always felt like it was a more refined version of Demons Souls rather than a sequel, with so many bosses feeling like better versions of DS bosses (Maneater-->Gargoyles, Tower Knight-->Iron Golem, King Allant-->Lord Gwyn, Fools Idol-->Pinwheel, etc.) I want this to feel like a true, new, sequel.
BRING IT ON From Software!!

Re: What bosses you expect in DkSII
We'll see....
A dragon guarding a bridge or narrow walk
A gargoyle type that has a partner jump in during the middle of the fight
Some sort of large spider
A puzzle based boss who you don't directly damage until you weaken it somehow that everyone hates. Especially Tolvo

I try not to have too many expectations for any new title, but I certainly hope for a Boss that gives me that same feeling of triumph I had with O+S or False King.

Re: What bosses you expect in DkSII
As far as bosses go I would like to think they have another boss fight like O&S and the four kings.
The only other boss fight I would hope for is a fight between you and an enemy like the maneaters or gargoyles.

Re: What bosses you expect in DkSII
I'd quite like to see a giant squid/kraken type boss in a bay or dock type area since were gonna have a sea element.
be cool to see it pick a couple of drakes out of the air and pull them into the sea. .
maybe it could use its suckers to pick up the weapons of previous victims that are strewn around the area, be great having to fend of loads of different weight and style weapons at once, keep you on your guard.
I'd also like to kick sand in its face when ive ran it through. . .then maybe build a nice sandcastle or go on a donkey ride

Re: What bosses you expect in DkSII
Hard to say what kind of bosses i would like to see...maybe something big in scale and one GREAT dragon fight would be really welcome. As long as they keep the monster design top notch I'm happy (of course I want them to be challenging fights too).
I also hope they include as much boss battles as we had on DkS, although they have hell of a time trying to top the quality of DkS bosses.

Re: What bosses you expect in DkSII
Yeah, after DkS i was kinda worried how they might have trouble creating new, original designs and ideas for Bosses, and normal enemies too for that matter, without them venturing into cliche or well worn territory.
From what ive seen so far, the Chariot and the Armoured club swinging geezer who falls backwards onto you (form following function) seems to suggest they have no shortage of ideas.

Re: What bosses you expect in DkSII
We could have this:
Since in Dark Souls you could just tank the bosses with your best shield and armor, this boss should change that.
I'm thinking of this boss being a giant or something with protective armor.
You can't damage it.
You need to climb a high tower while killing the dude's powerful backup, then you do a plunging attack on his head.
Repeat 3-4 times and he is dead.
Clever boss? Yes
Fun boss? NO

Re: What bosses you expect in DkSII
I certainly expect a very slow boss with a small bunch of goons surrounding it.
What I hope to see, is some kind of multi-element boss. One that is not so easily predictable, and can change its way of attack methods during the fight. Or perhaps depending on its health.
EDIT: I woulnd't mind a boss that require you to use your wits rather then your brawn. Though it is a risky wish, as it might end up turning out like the BoC.

Re: What bosses you expect in DkSII
The final boss should be someone like False King but even more difficult. Humanoid bosses roughly the size of the player are the most difficult ones, because they're fast. Also False King is the coolest boss of them all in DeS and DkS.

Re: What bosses you expect in DkSII
I want a boss that is just three humans, two of them phantoms. They'll have heavy armor and be designed to flip around and go for backstabs with heavy hitting weapons. If you give them a second to themselves they'll use instant healing items which they each have 99 of. Each will have a mask representing a child, mother, and father. There will be lag while fighting them and stand right at the fog gate and attack right as you come through it.
If you beat them all they'll drop 1 soul in total and a useless pendant.

Re: What bosses you expect in DkSII
If it was an optional boss, I'd be all for it. It'd be for bragging rights exclusively. Also, they should drop a soul that you craft into a pendant, not the pendant itself. It'd be a joke at the pendant scam of DkS.
