Looking for a frustrating and impossible challenge? I was...and this is what I created:
The Calamity Class Challenge, halfway inspired by EnB's Class Challenge, but with a hellish twist.
EpicnameBro Class Challenge NG+ and Calamity Ring!
Rules:
#1 You may not level.
#2 With the exception of rings, you may only use your starting equipment. Addition: You must wear the Calamity Ring the whole time! No armor and shield allowed! You may remove the ring in order to make it through Lost Izalith.
#3 The only Blacksmiths who may Modify your equipment are Andre and Rickert.
Normal, Raw, Divine, Occult, Magic, and Enchanted are ok.
Fire and Lightning are NOT allowed.
#4 You may not use any healing items. Clerics can cast heal.
#5 You may not enter new covenants. (If you are a knight / cleric, Way of White is allowed.)
#6 You may not upgrade your pyromancy flame.
#7 No summons.
#8 You must be ng+
#9 The area belonging to the boss is also part of the challenge so these rules also apply there. (Well, just start running from your bonfire of choice!)
You MAY buy consumables, including resins, spells and arrows. You MAY remove equipment.
These are the rules, I've killed Seath, Bed of Chaos, Manus, Kalameet but I reached my limits at Nito. 3 skeletons where one attack is enough to kill you + Nito spamming his ranged ******** which can only be dodged with spot-on timing. I'm done, I can't go any further and if I may add this - I am proud of myself. But it reached the point where lucky AI patterns decide if wether or not I make progress. God, it's gonna feel so good to use a shield after all this time
In any case, I have the whole challenge run recorded 720p, gotta finish the last few videos.

Let me know what you think! Try it for yourself, if you feel like you're a good DkS player!
Edit: One more thing I want to add. Playing the game this way made me feel almost like playing it for the first time. You don't know what's awaiting you and if you will survive until the next bonfire. That feeling was there again - to not know if I could make it to the next bonfire despite the fact I know this game inside out. It's intense, nerve wrecking but can be ultimate victory.
