Met a modder on ps3 yesterday

The topic says it all.

I warped to towniship with my sl99 toon, with intention to go buy green blossom from Chester but got vaded. The vader was wearing havels armor set and was ninja flipping. He cast 3 pursuers that i dodged all. Then he pulled out a gold tracer and started r1 spamming. After tanking first two hits, I parried the third. Riposted, no damage! Was like no way! So i went for bs right after. Bsed, no damage! Tried hitting him 3 times after that, but no damage!! Then he one shotted me with dark bead.

Right after that i sent him message, that i got no reply to, though hes profile said english as language. Checked his psn profile, he had no trophys at all!! Shud not be even possible if he is in dlc.

Anyone else had the same kind of experience?

Seems that someone else has had the same experience. But with larger scale, including hacked karmic justice.

The uniting thing is that both had the new 1.08 patch. I just hope it has nothing to do with that.

Yeah I just saw this vid too.. what are we coming to with hackers invading on PS3. Shedding a tear right now

The only modding (if it even is modding and not some exploited glitch) I've seen so far is people changing movesets of weapons. For example, I've seen people changing the demon's spear moveset to that of a straight sword, while keeping the range and damage of the demon's spear. I've also seen someone giving the Dragon Greatsword the straight sword's 2h R1 while keeping all of the other moves of the Dragon Greatsword.

Uh, there's been PS3 hackers since the beginning. PS3 just enjoys a much lower frequency. I had an infinite health modder waaaaaaaaaaay back when I first started getting into the PvP aspect.

That's just a glitch that occurs every now and then.

they are very few of them(thankfully) the majority of them go to the forest but they have started to move to the township since it's so busy there. it really sucks, hopefully FROM does a better job with dks2.

Never met a modder on PS3. When I do though, I will probably complain about it for a week.

i suspect we will see an increase in modded BK weapons soon, was at a friends house a few hours aga, i cant state here how to get it, but he has all BK weapons past +5, watched him wreck 3 ppl with his bkga, wich has a base dmg of 800.
and from what he told me, it was the BK and dragon weapons avaiable atm.
guess i gotta go back to offline mode again if this gets out to more ppl

my friend didnt make it tho, he just found the guided path to do it.
but i would be sad if he and others would just run around with these as a primary weapon, or a backup if they are about to lose. but i bet most players from this forum would get the items if they knew how.
some for non evil purpose ofc.
should be weekly patches that erases "over upgraded" weapons and armors as well as ppl on first playthrough with 5 wotg etc -.-

Ihavent seen really any big modders i just come across people switch weapon animation or Lag switchers which i hate the most sometimes(How 2 Win at Dark Souls) but the 1 thing u can get lucky against lag switchers n some modders u can kill a modder by kicking him of a ledge n if u get a bs on a lag switcher the end up sometimes just flying across the map and end up having heart atks

Thankfully, every hacker I have come across (many since on xbox) have had extremely poor skills playing. Silver lining and all.

modded weapons are now a thing on psn, met a crystal greatsword +15 today. guy got blocked asap.

By the way, When i went to get my stain back yesterday, i got all my humanities but no souls what so ever. :?:

Hope this modding does not become a bigger problem on ps3.

Its no different on Xbox. Had the same happen, just that he was not an invader but a host. Ninja flipping Havels, never ending sunlight blade, stamina or life and to top it off he had other phantoms to gank with him. Such a great fun. :roll:
I don't get why people do this? I mean what fun is it if you can't lose anyway? It's like ripping a paper in half and then celebrating your amazing skills and strongness.
