Alright not a horrible idea, I'm about to log off soon. So I'll let the rest of the covenant decide on what the idea of the event should be. Just don't forget that there should be some appeal to non-bronies.

I'll contact Skare about the event when you guys are ready.

That might be a funny practice, giving the person every title they have earned at once.

You don't rank up and get known as just that rank.

I just joined the covenant and wonder how I can help.

These are my ideas for potential co-op or pvp events. I'll make one post for my co-op idea and one for my pvp idea :

We don't have enough members on PS3-PC yet to have enough action in a system limited event, but something can be done multi-platform :
Co-op competition :
I'm a big fan of co-oping the whole game, I did it one time with 2 friends and it was one of the funniest moment I had in Dark Souls.
- The idea here would be to form teams of 2 or 3 with the goal to co-op the whole game (2 or 3 times each area) as fast as possible (from base SL).
- It's not needed to record the game to prove anything, it's all about fun and trust.
- The run may be done in one shot or with pauses if needed. It would be requiered to time the actual playing sessions though (one shot runs are preferable, because easier to time). The timer starts as soon as the first summoning works. And it restarts (for a more than one session co-op run) as soon as the 2 or 3 players reconnect to their game.
- Summoning locations have to be discussed and every team would have to place their signs at the chosen locations.
- Time taken to upgrade material and/or play the mandatory solo parts count as a part of the run and must be timed. Basically, everything that is played past the first summon is timed. So If someone have to go, everyone should stop playing with the co-op toon till the next session.
- The strategy adopted to complete the run is up to the team. The boss/area order and the builds are part of it.

Pros :
- Fun.
- We might actually learn about tricks we don't know.
- Dealing with random invaders. ^Fun
- Can be done as an event, or as a regular activity in the covenant. It' not needed that a team does his run at the same time as the other teams.

Cons :
- Timezones might be a problem
- Summoning Failed...
- Systems might be not balanced in term of loading screens, invasions and network quality. But since having fun is the main idea, it's not so important imo.

What do you think about this first idea?

I always wanted to do something simliar to this .
So if Res would be up for it i'd totally do it with him, i would make some Screenshots as well .

And for the Time thing i would just use the Time showed in the loading screen as proof, after all i could just make a Fire Weapon in the Catacombs and cheese through most of the first half without having it timed and it would give me a huge advantage .

Anyway, Since Derpy is a Pegasus i would say she uses Spears like the Royal Guards, more specifically the Fork...yeah, that would fit pretty good with that 2H R2 Attack


While the Doctor should use Magic i suppose but i'm not sure about that .

Ayn specific Rules for this Run ?
I would be for a Level Cap of 55 so we can use those Characters in other Events too

I didn't think about lore, I just though it could fit the covenant well.

I'm not sure about the specific rules.
I think you can do whatever you want, the goal is to finished the game as fast as possible.
Leveling and upgarding to much may not be the best idea.
But if you want a level cap, why not? As long as we all follow the same rules.

Some rules about the path to use might be a good idea, but not even sure of that... :
- Things like preventing the catacombs from being a non existent area if you use the shortcuts, for instance.
- Forbidding some shortcuts in general.

Should we kill all bosses and play the DLC too? (I'd like it if possible)

That Lore sounds good enough for me .
And i also agree with the Shortcuts and that we should kill all Bosses, and we should ban ALL NPC Summons (Even Sif) .

I've only watched 4 Episodes of Doctor Who (Christopher Eccleston) and he really didn't carry a Weapon in those Episodes .
Res, i think you should make a pure Casterbut don't just focus on INT throw some Faith and Pyro in there and you're good .

You stay behind and give orders while i charge them with Fork .
