As far as chat goes some of us will have to use normal chat. If you wish to use voice chat just make sure your partner also has a mic.
Now as far as special titles go, that I will leave up to you guys but if you need help just ask. However, I would like this to be done by Friday.
As far as actual gameplay goes, I was thinking about having the host and the phantom begin at starting level and play off of each other through their worlds. However, the highest level you can achieve is SL 75. (So the SL cap will be raised)
OR
Have the host at starting level and have the phantom have three builds (of your choice) one would be a SL 15, SL 35, and SL 55. This will probably require the most work on the phantoms side.
The SL cap of 55 is for both the phantom and the host.
Currently this is still something that is up for decision but needs to be decide relatively soon.
Shortcuts: This I might allow if we choose the first option because of the amount of time that it will take to kill the bosses twice.
ALSO: I might also move the date back towards the 8th of June instead.

That sounds good, Grin .
I would love if we do Option 2 it can take forever to be connected to each other, let alone twice, i think it would be less frustrating that way .
And luckily i have Characters around that level .
If we go with Option 1 :

Sorry if the following is not perfectly grammaticaly correct. I'm trying very hard to write in good english.
I prefer Option 1, but I'm ok with the other option.
My suggestions for the event, take what you find good, or throw :
- Starting at the undead burg at base level : You have to get the WSS on your own before the event (without killing important mobs and boss : Taurus demon/armored boar, knights, Havel etc...).
- Double co-op playthrough, the team will basically play through the whole game 2 times.
- The signs must be generaly placed at the start of the level, or at the bonefire if it's not too far in the level. The idea is to co-op the game, not co-op the bosses. The signs location must be discussed before the event then.
- If a phantom dies (or gets disconnected), it's fine to resummon him where he died, or any other location before in the level.
- If the host dies, the level must be "restarted".
- The only shortcuts that must be forbidden imo, are the ones in the catacombs that make the level inexistant. Do you think other ones should be forbidden?
- In my triple co-op run with friends, the easiest way to level up was *We do the level 3 times, then *We all level up at the same level. But you can do as you wish.
- You don't have to clean all the level, you can choose one way and take it. But you don't want to run to the boss while evading all ennemies too. You have to kill the ennemies you encounter. With maybe reasonable exceptions if it's a matter of life and death for your team.
- It's ok to avoid the enemies, but kill the one you aggroed
- I think we can agree about not making the full blighttown level mandatory. You'll have to kill the Gaping Dragon anyway.
- All boss must die twice, even Gwyn. The second Gwyn will have to be done solo though and the timer will stop just after his death.
- The mandatory solo parts don't have rules, you can kill 0 ennemies and just run. You'll be responsible for your own death

The 8th of June is the only weekend of June I won't be able to play the game. Any other weekend is still not taken for now.
As for the level cap, anything is fine for me.
I realise playing the whole game in co-op may be very long, so maybe some things should be skipped. Maybe non mandatory area like Ariamis, Asylum ep 2, butterfly, DLC (or at least a part of it? Kalameet then??).
I'd like to play everything, but if it's too much so anyone won't even be able to finish it's run because of time constraints, something has to be done.
A very light run could be doing everything, but only double co-oping the bosses.
This way, you still depend on your partner to reach the boss gate. And you can ask for your partner's help if he already is at the gate but you need him to pass a specific point of the level.
If you don't ask for his help, the more time you take, the more vulnerable to invaders you make him.
It's much less fun imo, but is much easier to do time-wise.

That's what i thought too .
We only do mandatory Areas (Belles>Blighttown>Sens>Anor>The Lords>Kiln) and only Co-op for one Player .
But i would be fine with whatever you want to do, it's just tough to play through the whole Game essentially twice in one sitting and combine that with possible connection issues and you have possible no-fun
And we really should play through the whole Area together, just having the Host clear the level and being summoned for the Boss is pretty meh

I did "Option 1" with two friends, it's long, but very possible. Depends on the time each player is willing to allocate in the event. The main problem we had was to find the summoning sign the first time. When it's done once, it's not a problem anymore, just like when you play in a fight club. But yes, it's still long, very long.

I just had an idea that may simplify it all.
I suggested it to be a competition, but it doesn't necessarily have to be so, or at least not in this form.
How about letting the team choose between different options and attribut different ranks depending on the option chosen upon succes :
Player A and B played option1 in X hours Y mins.
The titles maybe things like :
Player A and B played the full game killing every bosses in X hours and Y mins, they are now "Forever Friends in both Life and Death"
Player C helped player D through all his journey, killing only mandatory bosses.
Player C and D are now "Trustworthy Friends" (or 2 different ranks)
etc...
The event could be an excuse to create the first runs. Other runs might be done later to beat the time records and earn the ranks.
