Hey all, first time poster here!
So, considering I'd never seen anything like this on YouTube, at least that I knew about, I figured I'd try my hand at something new and crazy in Dark Souls.
So, I'm working on a gimped weapon boss challenge! The rules are as follows:
1. Any damage done to a boss has to be by a weapon that you can't use effectively with your STRENGTH stat. Dex is no good as you can still swing it full speed with an adequate strength stat, and then it would be much less challenging.
2. No summons for any of the bosses. Solo only:)
3. You can level up vitality and dex. I kept it at a reasonable value, and won't exceed 30 in either of them. I thought 30 was perfectly okay, tbh.
4. Character buffs are okay, such as green blossom/power within/etc. No weapon buffs like Darkmoon Blade (which you wouldn't have the stats for anyway), Magic Weapon is cool I guess, if your character can do it from the start. Personally, I went pure melee anyway. Weapon consumable buffs are okay, but past the first few bosses, they quickly become useless.
5. Not really important, but I limited myself to my starting weapon outside of boss fights, just to not be able to steamroll everything else. Also, no real armor restrictions for this, but again, I primarily used my Knight Armor set, which is initial equip.
Let me know what you think about it, any feedback or comments would be appreciated.
I have 8 videos up so far, the most recent being Ornstein and Smough, which I'll link up here!
