Honestly, looking at the trailer, I don't think Dark Souls 2 will be that good. It's realistic sure, but... the way he stands... the way he attacks... his weapons, the way he moves... I don't think it's going to live up to what people are expecting.

I've lost a lot of respect for today's games.
It's 50% of the Devs fault for making less quality games, but it's also the players' fault for ruining a lot of the online portions of games.
Like CoD could be fun, but the online community is terrible, Halo 4 could be fun but everyone runs the same weapons and it gets stale.

Well compared to the FPS communities i say that the DS community is quite good. Remember, it was the sheer power of the community that lead to the PC version.
I think the games are good, but people have to high expectations.

If I had to play a shooter, I'd play Halo 3. Of all games, that is one of my favourite games ever. It had everything one needed, good graphics, decently sized maps, variety of weapons which were all BALANCED, and of course a build-your-own sandbox. Those were the good days...

The devs put way to much focus on satisfying the lowest common denominator (was spelled wrong). Wich lead to crystal clear games with bad gameplay, mediocre storyline and etcetra,

Reach was fun to an extent, but I loved Halo 3.
I just with the Hornet appeared in Multiplayer more, While I'm afraid of heights, I've always seemed to like flying in games.

Oh, I also forgot the deep, moving, and extremely FUN campaign. I've never had so much fun in a game campaign than I did in Halo 3.
One of my favourites was getting the achievement where you had to finish the final mission on Legendary, with Iron on (if one person dies, everyone returns to the checkpoint instead of that person just respawning like normal), with everyone in ghosts (god my hand hurt after holding the boost button for so long).
Oh, and of course the best part about that achievement, it was worth 0 gamerscore. Good times.

I haven't played Halo in awhile, so I completely forgot about Recon. 
If I remember correctly, I either had it or I was 1 achievement away from getting it. I'd have to get my Xbox out to check, which I don't plan on doing anytime soon

I never played Halo till ODST and I avoided the multiplayer for that one. I not a real big fan of shooters.

Don't place the blame on the devs when the publishers(like EA) put absurd pressure on them to expand and sell 5mil. It's not the devs lack of passion or creativity, but the stifling powers of the publishers' money.
