Xbox One, oh God my sides.

I may just have to get Dark souls 2 on the computer. I don't see the point in buying a console(xbox or the new playstation) just for one game.

I thought DkS 2 was going to be on the 360.

game retailers might refuse to sell it. I hope they do in fact, I would.

So instead they will just make all games only assign to one xbox ID and noone else can use it till they sell the game back to microsoft?

That's my situation as well. Seeing as how DkS II is being developed on PC architecture, it may just be the BEST way to go, as well.

Totally. The mom & pop retail stores in my area would be RUINED. NO game rentals, NO trade-in sales...

Just for clarification, Xbox One won't bomb. They'll most likely cap the price 50$ under PS3 like last time, and advertise how "family oriented" it is. It'll be the true console of 12 year olds.

In fact, by not doing the same thing, sony/nintendo could make a ton of money making license deals with redbox and gamefly, among others.

Well, now my sister can't possibly defend getting the next Xbox because of all this ridiculousness. I have half a heart to thank Microsoft, but the other part of me just wants to slap the **** out of who came up with it.

Also, some more details have surfaced; if I take a game to a friends house, put it in his Xbox One, and play on MY profile, it won't charge a dime. If he tries to play on HIS Profile, it will.


Which is really weird, considering they said there would be no fee.....

Call of duty being the only game they presented already proves it.

From what I saw CoD didn't look all too impressive either. I doubt E3 will help the next Xbox (I refuse to call it by that stupid name) but I've been wrong before. I just doubt it will happen if this is what they brought to their opening performance or whatever you want to call it.

I would not say one is better over the other based off of "Reveals" but i do have to laugh that they chose Xbox "One" Really? that's all your marketing team could come up with for millions of dollars and hundreds of hours.. heh.

I find angryjoe's rant on it interesting. Granted it's rambling but the main point he does focus on is the fact that in order for someone to use a used game they have to pay a fee which is absolutely garbage. Meaning I can't let a friend borrow a game without him paying a fee unless I give him access to my account:

its not april first... what is this nonsense... don't these guy's know anything about their core consumer group? Ah well no skin off my nose, few games on xbox that interest me and honestly with what i've seen of the console no games that come out will be up to par...
