What I'd do is free-aim Soul Spears at the 3 Chaos Eaters, and then free-aim a Soul Arrow so he doesn't get hurt fighting them, then launch another Soul Spear at the least Chaos Eater that comes around the corner.
Problem solved, Onion-Bro story resolved.
