Minimum HPs for beginners?

What would be the minmum amount of Hit Points you would recommend for a new to Dark Souls PvPer?

I know that more is better, but I'm looking for a reasonable cutoff point. Some of the builds I'm looking at go as low as 1300 hit points.

As a beginner to the souls series? I would say no more than 40 usually. But if you feel you are being OHKO'd you could go 50. Most of my builds are around 35-40. After 40 that's where the HP boosts start to decrease.

To start with i was not happy with less than 1500, now anything near 1300 is ok-ish. If your new try to get near 1500.

40 vit + Ring of favar and protection+ Mask of Mother puts you at 1889. It makes a 0hkO impossible with an un buffed weapon. other wise round 1500 is good
