Sales-wise, I'm pretty sure this is one game that can rely on its fans as day one devotees. DS is probably the most revered game of the past generation, always mentioned in the press, mechnics and ideas copied by other upcoming games, a constant source of dispute and the subject of immeasurable 'greatest game of all time' articles. . . it sells itself really!

and rightly so. which is why I dont mind waiting 9 months for DS2, I already waited about 10 years for DS

As long as it actually gets released I'm happy.
I would hate to see it turned into another Versus, or Last Guardian. :/

I'm happy to wait till March - its too blooming cold to go outside anyways and gets dark real quick so you'll probably be online anyways. Besides; die hard fans like us will get the game regardless of the release date

Conflicting feelings While I would want the game on my tv as soon as possible, we don't know what state the game is exactly so pushing it back may have been the only option. It may benefit from a quiet game month for sales or not. I do think fans from Demon's Souls & Dark Souls will buy the game day one but I wonder about new players. They've mentioned pushing DS2 more in marketing so maybe we'll see a bigger surge of newbies or maybe investing money in ads will be a loss At least pushing the game back means DS will have a good amount of players messing around still.

I'm just praying and begging for the old gods and the new that they changed their minds about not releasing on next gen consoles and the march 2014 is the release dae for next gen version and we get it on current consoles on october...it's not going to happen, but one can dream....right?
